Rim-Curb repair update????

I forget who it was, but i think they said their wife was driving the truck and she did a nice curb job on the rim? Then you took it to a rim repair shop to get it fixed? haven't heard from ya in a while. did you get any pics??? how did it turnout?

That was 1JT from BAHDFOG. He hasn't done anything yet that I know of.

The guy came to my home to fix and couldn't do the job, something about it being crome. I'm still looking to find a repair.

A shop in Calgary by the name of Alberta Wheel Repairs does some great work on rims. I had my estimated at 200 cdn. each

I think I saw a repair shop in Canada, mybe the same one. I'm going to try the states first. Please post contact info just in case.

I had light rim damage to 2 rims. Before it got too expensive I went to larger tires. (275/55/20 – see them in my gallery). I have more rim protection than the stock tire size.

IJT, you might give Stockton Wheel Service a call about getting your wheel repaired. I had them repair an aluminum wheel about five years ago and it looked as if it were new when they were finished with it (I managed to crack the outer lip on an old set of mini-lite wheels, they were able to straighten it, reweld it, then polish it) I don't know if they work with the chromed wheels but it is worth a try. I am sorry that I don't have their number handy but they are at alot of the Goodguys shows in Pleasanton and they have ads in some of the bigger car magazines.

I know that aluminum rims can be repaired. My questions is, on the sticker price, it says our rims are aluminum. Does this mean the are aluminum w/crome plating?

yeah, they are chrome plated if that's what you are asking

Unique 20x9-inch five-spoke chromed aluminum wheels with HARLEY-DAVIDSON Bar & Shield identification on center caps
