Diablo chip results in 02HD Good! & bad
Ok, heres a question:
Where do I go to see if I have a chip installed? I just bought the truck. The reason I think it might, is because it has a lot more power than my F150 did with the same motor and I have noticed gear searching when going down a hill.

I think what everyone is trying to say is if your going to use a Diablo chip, there are really only two tuners to choose from--Johnny Lightning and Razors Edge Motorsports. It's not necessarily a matter of Duratec not being a respected tuner (although I've never heard of them). Its more a matter of JL and REM having hands on experience with the 02 HD; there is no second guessing with their tunes.

I would return the chip to be *fixed*, either with a rev limiter bump, or a shift point lowering, before running to another tuner to spend more money just yet. That way, if Diablo realizes that their *stock* program has a fault, they can make that change across the board before the same chip program reaches other owners too. With the *fixed* chip, see if the problem remains and then make a decision to play with a dyno tune... for the rest of our's sake...

I have been very busy installing a custom sub box so I haven't used it too much. I'll do couple more test and if I still have problems I'll definitely will contact them. Thanks.
