1000 hp? That must be only with the Nitrous peaking. It seems strange that it would get 1000 hp and still get similar gas mileage as stock.

It is a nice set up though. IMHO they should have chromed the entire Turbo system.

one guy said it makes about 800 hp from the motor, then the 250 shot of nos puts it up to around 1k

Did I read "daily driver" in the description? I don't think this thing is made for commuting etc.

What do you guys think of the price so far?

Thumbs up

Well...I guess there is a NEW "baddest F150 Harley Davidson on the Planet".

That truck has some outstanding engineering! A real sleeper. It would be interesting if it can get down the track. I would think a four link would be needed along with some tires that have some sidewall.

As far as pricing, who knows. It has to have $25,000 in the motor mods and turbo. I would certainly think it will sell for $50,000+

1JT, you might want to stop by RPM in a few days and take a look at what they are doing to my 00 HD. Going full bore including a set up for Nitrious.

I assume they will have it for a couple of weeks, since the motor is being practically rebuilt. Am sure it will not be anything like the HD being shown here, but it should be a screamer when finished.
Want it to be an everyday truck, but also know it is there when needed.

so much for not doing any mods that you couldn't change the truck back to original relatively easily and not permantly modifiying any original parts HD2NV89 LoL! ya definately have to keep us updated, and get some work in progress pics if you can.

HD on bags, nitrous, and a big chrome blower on top! that thing is gonna be sweet!!!

o yeah, did you ever fix that bump stop thing for up front incase an air line were to fail?

Oh well, figured I had so much money tied up in the truck, I will never sell it so decided to go all the way. Took off the front 4 link system and put on Shockwave bags, and a larger bumper. Still can't make a sharp turn, but at least I can steer it if another line blows. At least, it still looks stock from the outside.LOL

What happens when the person who buys this blows the engine? Did they do any tranny work?

sorry guys, but this thing is gonna break something the first time you step on it with that much power. what about the trans/driveshaft/rearend?

TZR -
That's what hot rodding a vehicle is all about. You modify, test, break parts and upgrade/re-engineer the "weak" link and continue to develop.

There are many transmissons out there that will handle a 1,000HP and more. Driveshafts and rearends .. easy... build a new driveshaft and put a 9 inch Ford rearend in it if need be.

I don't quite understand the "B.S." up the flagpole. Maybe I am too old to get it.

I think it is a very cool project......though I would have maybe chosen a pre-'02 HD if I knew there was no need for the spercharger.

you're right about a 9" rear, but what trans could you use that would handle that much power? and if you are going to change the whole drivetrain, why even start with a HD? good point about the supercharger. i just think its a waste, it's B.S. that someone can just **** money away like that without thinking it through. i took the flag out tho, i will save it for a special occasion

TZR - wasn't trying to "rag" on you. I agree that it is a strange vehicle to hot rod, but trucks seem to be the "In" vehicle right now. I would rather have the set-up in a Mustang.

As far as trannies, It would depend on what happens. The exisiting can be beefed up or put a C-4 in it and forget about it. Dynamic builds up C-4's for the mod-motor class in NMRA and those guys can build some serious HP.

When I wear out my Harley I keep thinking about putting a blown 460/ C-6/narrowed rearend with some big fat Hoosiers or Mickey's squeezed under the bed. Then I "wake up" and realize it would be way more fun to find a '69 Mustang or '67 Fairlane to put it in.......or a blown 454 in a Chevelle or Chevy II. I have a thing for big blocks. These little Ford mod-motors run good but 330CI (I guess that is what a 5.4l is) just doesn't get me all that excited.
