called my dealer today ordered chrome tie downs for the bed.$3.50 a piece. thats pretty good so i asked about the emblems they want $130 for the tailgate badge to much for me.the front fender badges show that they are the same as last year strange it showed same part number.aaron

 

Tie downs sound reasonable enough. May have to order those. As far as the Fender emblems, it sounds like Ford hasn't updated their part lists yet.

I work for a company that uses all manufacturer part number information for collision data purposes and it is not surprising that some part numbers are updated and some are not. Sometimes the data will be updated to state that the same part number is good for the new year even though you know that the part is different. This is typical for low volume parts like badges and emblems.

 

I'll have to pick up the chrome tie downs before they jack up the price too much

as for the emblems, they aren't the same as last year, they are the new 03 ones with the wings and 100th anniversary written on it (same as tailgate) and not the older style. their part #'s must not be updated yet. I could probably get a set of 3 emblems for like 200 from the guy i get all my stuff from.

yeah, i washed the truck right after i took that pic even though it was raining out. couldn't stand having all those leaves on the truck

anyway, the 03 emblems will probably be priced the same as the 00/01 and 02 emblems from the dealer were, which was around 125 a piece. they might get them for 90, but most likely won't sell em for 90
i gotta call my friend tonight that gets me my oem ford mods and i'll see if he can get a price on them yet.

speaking of emblems, i won a bid on ebay a few days ago for 3 2002 HD emblems, brand new. I only need one (no, not putting it on the truck, but if you saw my HD junkie thread, you'l know why i am getting it. LoL!) but if anybody wanted one of the spare 2, drop me a line. You can install it inbetween the rear seats like blwn_hd#34 did. looks awsome!
They should get here late this week.

 

As for the chrome tie downs, I have a case from vendor I ordered thru Ford. I paid $2.20 a piece for them if anyone wants a set.
