Fog lights on and OFF with auto lights

Fog lights on and OFF with auto lights
I would prefer that my fog lights turned on and off with my headlights in the autolights mode.
I followed the well written instructions posted under this link: https://www.f150online.com/tech/lightningfog1.html
Specifically, I connected the number 5 (yellow) and 7 (green) wires on the large connector to the light switch. This does activate the fog lights in the auto lights mode.
Regretably the fog lights remain on even with the ignition off, thus, requiring that the lights be switched off every time you park to avoid discharging the battery.
Given this, I did not make the internal switch mods as I concluded that I would still have to turn off the fog lights when I parked.
Does anyone have a different solution?

ah, i know that somebody was having the same problem a few months ago with this, and i am pretty sure they came up with a solution. Do a search for foglight mod in teh HD forum and you might find something. i'll search and see if i can find anything for ya.
