Dynod my 01 HD today

Got off the dyno today. Here are the results. Red is Vortech SC only w/7.5 lbs of boost. Blue is Vortech SC, ATI intercooler, still 7.5 lbs of boost but had to put on a differant pulley due to lost psi w/intercooler and a JL Diablo chip. No very impressive!

so what were your peak hp/tq#'s??? I'm not very good at reading dyno graphs.
did you do a base dyno before you got the s/c? i know you've had it for a little while now, so not sure if you did. if so, how much of an increase?

The blue color was todays hp=313 and the red line was about 6 months ago also about hp=313. Since orginal install items added were JL custom program, intercooler and a smaller pulley for the SC. Basically all those mods and no gain. (other than safer cooler gain with more room for a smaller pulley) and yes to the base before any mod hp=203

Did you have your chip tuned? Aren't the A/F ratios very dangerous?

Whats the altitude...is that corrected HP?

Also why was the dyno run done through 3 full gears?

The A/F ratio is really thrown off by the shifts.

it might not actually be that bad.

After the second shift it never gets above 13:1 and gets really rich (which is certainly where I would want to be when running boost).

Getting down to the 10:1 a/f ratio is probably hurting your power a bit and your power begins to drop off after that.

Those numbers dont exactly match whats on the screen...do they eliminate the shift point readings or something?

Id be happy with the A/F numbers on that list..but not on the dyno sheet.

Its obvious that right around 92mph that you are well below 11.8:1 a/f ratio (the lowest number shown on that second list). Something doesnt jive

I agree - the A/F on the screen is scary but the one on the chart is not so bad. Also, did you have a big fan blowing through the I/C? An Air to Air won't do much without a lot of airflow.

Yes had a fan blowing on the IC.
BTW what color are you reading? The blue is what is reflected on the chart. That was my most recent dyno. Mods included w/ blue are SC, IC, 10lb pulley and chip.

Red= orginal install a few months ago w/ only the SC and stock 8lb pulley.

That dyno is all over the place, dont you think your car needs to be tuned? I have never seen a dyno look like that.

Probably doesnt have smoothing set to a very high level.

My bad...I thought you said yours was the red one...

Except for that section around 65 - 80mph where the numbers are in the 14s...id be happy...then again that looks like a shift point.
