Drop Look?

What do you guys think look the best? 2" dropped in the back and nothing else or a 1" drop in the front and 2" in the back? cobrasvt1, what kind of drop do you have?

I've seen some pictures of ones that have been dropped 1"/2" and it doesnt look as good as I had thought, the front seems a bit too low (the tires are a bit tucked in the fender while the rear still has some room) ... but when I look at ones with 2" rear shackles only, the front seems a little too high. I know photos are VERY desiving and rarely look like it does in reality. From your experiences, what do you guys think is the best looking drop?

Thanks

I have a 2" rear drop on my HD. It really only gets you 1 3/4" drop in the back, which is just perfect, cuz the back is now 1/4" higher than the front, which is exactly how i want it, cuz if the back looked lower, it would just look weird. Thats what i was afraid of, and why it took me 2 years to finally get rear shackles, but i wish i did it sooner now, cuz it levels the truck out perfectly, with the back wheel well a hair higher than the front. I still want to get a 1" front drop cuz i like the raked look. It doesn't tuck the tires with just 1" (2" coils) in the front. I'd love to do a 2/4 drop though (3/4 kit) cuz that looks awsome, but i wouldn't make it up my driveway. LoL

and just so you can see the difference in the pics, here are 2 different HD's, but both the same year and color, not that it makes a difference, but just so you can compare. But i know what you are saying, the pics can be deceiving.

Fender flares also make the trucks look lower. I thought cobra had a 1" front drop also when his truck was at Etown, then i realized it was just his fender flares cuz it makes the wheel well look smaller

cobrasvt's truck: 2" rear shackles only

lucky's truck: 1" front drop (2" coil) and 2" rear shackles

The 2" rear shackles look great, and for 50 bucks why not. If you like the raked look, then a 1" front drop looks great with the shackles, and it doesn't tuck the tires. If you want it lower all around and level, then you'd have to drop the rear another inch with hangers, and that gets into alot more work and money, and the rear might look slightly lower than the front then. then ya might as well go with 2" in the front which barely tucks the top of the tires, and 3 or 4" in the rear, which ever looks best.

hope this helps some
