Hey!

Good to see that your truck is all fixed and back on the road.

Nice rig! I have a yellow 2002 Supreme Pro V Sky.

Are you parket on a hill? The front of the trailer looks low. When I picked my boat up we had to reverse the hitch neck to get it riding level.

We take the boat on the lake... mostly Lake Havasu to Wakeboard.

Wow! What a package!

You have a lot of $ tied up in that pick!! Very sharp truck and awesome boat! I have always dreamed of having an L to use to tow the Ski Nautique I want to buy for boarding/slalom! Once again, impressive

How long is your boat and what does it weigh? Any problems with towing through hills?

The only reservation I have about my '03 is the towing capacity rating of 4500#. I think my boat is about 4000# and don't want to run ito problems once all the gear is loaded. My '00 Harley works a little too hard on big or steep hills and that is one of the reasons I ordered the '03. I'm guessing the power and torque will be there but how's the gas milage with the boat along for the ride?

Any advice appreciated.

Gas mileage all in all sucks but it tows great, I was towing it up the grapevine ( 7% up hill grade for about 10- 15 miles) no problems at 70mph with A/C full blast in cruise control.

Our Boat is about 4000# the only thing really limiting the towing cap of the truck is the tires. I think its Slingshot who is towing I think a 7500# trailer, you shouldnt have any problems.

Thanks for sharing. You have put my mind at ease a little. Before I placed the order on the '03 I took a Excalade EXT out for a demo and hooked the boat up for a pull. It's rated at 345 HP and seemed to have a lot more power than the '00 (expected) but with the power and torque rating of the '03 Harley it should be a real improvement over what I have now.

I bump the pressure in my rear tires up to 40# when I pull the boat with the '00 and that seems to improve ride & handling a bit. Will also do this with the '03 when we can get the boat out of the garage next year.

Thanks
Bob

FordsOnly...my neighbor at Echo Bay Lake Mead son came up for the weekend and I found out he has a ski boat with a bladder. They surf behind the boat! That's right surf, no ropes. Told me you can go for miles, I didn't see it but totally believe them. If you know how to surf you should give it a try, of coarse you start with the rope but that's it.

Yeah Our boat has a bladder also, We can fill 2 tanks equaling about 500 extra pounds in the rear of the boat, some friends of ours have surfed behind it, its actually really cool.
