'03 In a commercial during MNF
I am sitting here watching my beloved New York Football Giants play the Eagles on Monday Night Football and a Ford truck commercial comes on. In the begining of the commercial it shows the passenger side and the back of a two tone '03 HD. It looks SWEEEET.
i saw that yesterday!!!!
sitting at the computer and a HD caught my eye. it was like a bride getting into the truck or something. i want to videotape it. do ya remember what channel it was on?
i can't wait to see the 03 two toned-aka shamoo- when my dealer gets one in

NBC
Over at the parents' house watching "Third Watch" with them on NBC and the commercial came on.
Exciting. That's two networks on the same evening. I'm betting we can expect to see it a lot here in the future.

I'm kind of on the fence with the advertising but as along as they limit the production it's probably okay.
Since there wasn't much advertisement on the previous HDs they get a lot of looks on the road since a lot of folks have never seen or heard of them before. As they become more popular they don't have as much mystery around them.
On the flip side, as people see the commercials and ads they are at least aware of them so if they see them on the road (in limited production) they can say they actually saw one in person.
Am I making any sense?? It's pretty early here.

Best of both worlds
I was watching both via split screen on my Hitachi 51" widescreen and the commercials were on at the same time. I thought I saw the HD on the first one, but my wife disagreed, then it came on the other channel. Pretty cool.
It's really not too bad. With all the talk on the sites about the stripe not fitting and uneven paint...I wasn't sure how it'd look in person. It's really pretty kewl looking. I still prefer the DSG and then the black above it, but it's not bad.
Now if I had an anniversary edition Hawg with the black on silver satin paint scheme...I'd probably have to have that truck to match. It was hard enough not driving off on the DSG Fatboy painted to match my truck that they had on display at the Open Road tour.

I was in my local Harley dealer the other day and they had a two-tone silver-black Road King Classic on the floor. My mouth hit the ground and I'm pretty sure I got drool all over the floor! LOL
I was ready to trade-in my 98 Dyna-glide on the spot. It was a beautiful bike and would match the 03 two-tone truck very nicely.

HawgGawd,
So you have a 98 Superglide too. I bet they weren't going to give you anything for it. So what did they want for the new one at the dealer?
I think the one I looked at was listed at around $18k and after their markup it was $22k.
