Lemon!!!
So far my truck has been in the shop for various reasons for over 4 weeks since the delivery in May '02, and everything indicates it will spend at least 2-3 more weeks for all remaining issues I have with it to be resolved. I am so f@#*ing fed up of it that I am seriously tempted to claim a lemon.
Any thoughts?

Harley #356,
HD 150s that others own might be fine trucks, but mine is sure not, and customer service I got so far sucks too. On some of things that I am not responsible for (damage on interior) I was told "tough luck you did not notice it at delivery, you can not prove it is our fault, you are free to pay out of your own pocket".
Even if Ford repairs everything amount of time this truck spent in the shop and amount of my time and money spent on that is making me miserable and aggravated.
Thanks!

As a veteran of Lemon Fords, let me give you a few tips...
First, if it was an a, b, x, or z-plan purchase, make sure you contact the dispute settlement board prior to persuing any legal action. Otherwise, you can be made inelgible for additional discount purchases.
Second, for some more info on lemon laws in your area, you can go to www.lemonaid.com and check it out... I can't reccommend him for an attorney (that's another looong story), but his site has a lot of good information on it.
Third, I realize how frustrating it is. I've been there. I can do nothing more than assure you that both the company and the dealer want you to be a happy customer. Ford customer service on the other hand, well... I sometimes wonder whose side they are on??!! Relax in knowing that your vehicle is by far the exception, not the rule.
Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.

GIJoeCam,
It was not a plan purchase, I am regular Joe Schmoe The Consumer.
I already got informed about laws.
I don't know does dealer want me happy, cause for example (among other things):
0) Initial delivery took 3 weeks from time I gave them check cause they were not working hard enough on getting options I ordered at same time.
1) I had problems with tonneau cover they installed (it was purchased and installed as part of truck purchase). They tried to install that cover 3 times and it is still not installed right (first 2 attempts resulted in tonneau unhooking at freeway speeds, on 3rd attempt they got new part but installed it slanted and during installation damaged rail guards). They are willing to go for try #4 and replace rail guards and cover again but I wonder where is an end to that insanity.
2) I had paint missing in 2 spots on tailgate. They fixed that but managed to damage paint on tail and tailgate in 2 more spots.
3) Etc, etc, etc
I don't know does Ford want me happy, cause it was Ford's field rep that said "tough luck you did not notice it at delivery" on my interior damage.
When it comes to Customer Service, I was told point blank that they "have no reason to doubt what dealership service told them cause they build relationship with their dealerships", but they had problems accepting me telling them dealership misinformed them.
Thanks for the nice words, but I don't think I can relax. I will relax once this is over.
Thanks again!

I was informed today by dealership service manager that body shop has finished work on my warranty paint issues and that tomorrow dealership will finish replacing tonneau cover that was never installed right and replacing railguards delaership damaged when installing tonneau cover. That will make total of 22 days my truck has spent in shop just this time.
Also, while I was visiting body shop (separate company from dealership) this morning, guy I was speaking to had problem starting it twice in a row. VERY same problem I reported but dealership service said is not a problem. You should have seen confusion on his face. When he stepped out he told me "That truck should have started when I tried it, how come it did not?!". Only thing I could do is sigh.
As soon as I catch my breath back I am taking this truck to different dealership to address remaining problems.
I will keep you posted.

Dude,
I'm totally sorry. My wife and I have had a Ford (trucks and cars, new and used) and literally NEVER had a problem over $200! I even had a 10 year old Ranger. I'm an X mechanic and I know that every manufacturer has lemons. Look into the lemon law and call an attorney. Go to your dealer and get the cops called on you! Good luck.
