Anybody get traction?

Is there a slick available for the 02 HD that does not look too goofy? I'm tired of feathering the throttle and getting my ***kicked off the line. Seriously, the Goodyear tires are expensive so VHT (I have a gallon from way back) is not a good answer. It is hard to back up an ET when working the gas pedal. Any advice is welcome.

well what do ya mean by slicks that don't look goofy? are you looking for something that can still be driven on teh street? or what? I think 16's are the smallest rims you can fit on the truck though. hope that helps some

drag radials will really help, but for gods sake, DO NOT drive in the rain. You will find yourself facing the other direction at the slightest application of the throttle.

Trust me... rain is not a common problem out here (I live 35 miles east of Midland)! I am going to get a pair of 18" L rims and slap on a set of Nitto drag radials. Drive them to the strip towing my stang and make a few passes. Wouldn't feel comfortable doing that with ET Streets. Changing them at the strip is a pain.

I'd be ecstatic with a 14.24 at Penwell... that's a lot better than my 14.00 at Ennis. I've never ran the truck there... I usually go to Wall.
