Length of HDCrew?

Sorry, but I've checked the archives, and I've looked online at Ford, but to no avail. I'm considering a 2001-2003 HD, and I need to make sure it'll fit in the garage. Can someone give me a bumper to bumper length of these things? Also, any major difference between the 2001, 2002, and 2003s?

Thanks!

Yeah, the 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 HD's are all exactly the same lenght.

even though the 00 is a supercab and the rest are supercrews, they all are the same length. Same wheelbase and frame and all

Thanks for the quick replies, although I'm not exactly happy with the results

I've got exactly 18', with the super-nice workbench I installed when I had my Mustang. Looks like I'll either have to tear the workbench out, or opt for a Lightning. What a perdicament.

Gotta admit, it sure would be nice to have the extra 4 doors, moon-roof, and close to the same level of power (just a pulley away, right?).

Again, thanks for the info!

what would you rather have?
AWSOME looks and GREAT power with a few mods?
or aight looks with GREAT power and a cool work bench

choice would be pretty easy for me. i say go for the HD! You won't regret it with the looks, power, sweet interior, etc. etc. etc. the list goes on and on. but don't get me wrong, the L's are sweet, i want to get a white one, but i'd chose a HD over a L

You also ask for major differences. I am sure you are aware but maybe not the 01 HD's were not SC'd. Go with the '03 HD!

o yeah, didn't notice that part of the questions. here's a basic (very very basic) breakdown between the years

00- can seat 5 people. Bigger bed. Rear bench seat. extended cab. all black interior. 5.4L V8. Factory Hard tonneau. Only comes in black. 3mm red pinstripe. Chrome upper and lower grille. Flareside.

01- can seat 4 people. smaller bed. 4 buckets. crew cab. all black interior with different seat and console design. 5.4L V8. Only comes in black. red and gray pinstripe at bottom of panels. Chrome upper grille and chrome surround. black lower grille

02- can seat 4 people. smaller bed. 4 buckets. crew cab. black and gray 2 toned interior. 5.4L V8 Supercharged. New Headlights. black or dark shadow gray with flame pinstripe. Bigger bars on grille (only 7 bars) black lower grille

03- can seat 4 people. smaller bed. 4 buckets. crew cab. black and silver 2 toned interior. 5.4L V8 Supercharged. New Headlights like 02. New lower valance. black or black/silver two toned with harley davidson enscripted pinstripe. 100th anniversary edition. Bigger bars on grille (only 7 bars) black lower grille

These are just the basic differences between them. there are a TON of little things that have changed that i listed on FTW. if i find it i'll copy and past it here. Hope this helps.

most of the things that stayed the same (factory lowered, 20" rims (duh ) chrome exhaust, limited edition) i didn't list cuz they are basically the same between years

good luck! get a 03!

I had to remodel my garage so it would fit. I ended up taking out the stairs that go into the house and relocating them, it was about a three day job to get it all back together, but the truck fits!! wooo hoooo

Awesome

And I was gonna suggest buying another house with a bigger garage! Congrats on the truck and the garage for it!

My truck barely fits in the garage. There's a metal pole in front of the water heater (California law) filled with cement. I can pull the truck within an inch of that and that gives me an inch of clearance for the door!

I got lucky! At least you planned ahead!

Yikes! My last F150 (XLT) helped build the house I'm in now; if I had to build a bigger one, I'd have to buy a F250

Thanks for all the helpful replies. I gather that from the above informative post, the supercharger wasn't added until '02? Guess that limits my options '02 or '03 it is.

Great site, hope I'm able to contribute - though I'm sure I won't mod mine

225.9" which translates to 18 feet 10 inches, only 2 inches shy of 19 feet.
