painted pinstripe

about how much would it cost to have my pinstripe painted on? remember the 00's just have the single 3mm red pinstripe, so any idea's? I was at a show today and there was a gto next to me and his were painted and it just looks so much nicer than a cheap sticker. Thanks for any help

No stripe!

Josh I know that you probably don't want to lose your pinstripe because then it wouldn't be original, BUT after my wreck I left the pinstripe off and I'm tellin you it looks SOOO much better. Just my 2 cents.

na, i saw another 00 down the shore last year, and he took his off. i like it better with it on than without. makes the badges look like they are too far down the fender or something without it just a personal preferance i guess I like the contrast it gives

anybody have an idea on price???

damn u! i must have asked 2 dozen guys on here who took their stripes off if i could have them. Every single one either just threw them out, gave em to somebody else, or forgot what happened to them just my kind of luck. LoL

What are you gonna do with the stripes cuz they won't match your truck? Just keep them? O yeah, i remember a while back somebody had a 00 style HD emblem for sale and you said you wanted it to collect. I am going to be buying a set of 2002 HD emblems just to have one for my collection of HD stuff, didn't know if you wanted to buy the other? Email me if ya do.

did you ever get your custom blue flame/lightning bolt pinstriping? i wanna see some pics!

yeah, i'd like to get the other emblem..

i dont have my stripes yet, and i'm tired of being a nice guy.. i'm gonna go smack those bi+ches around this week. ROFLMAO!
i can't say much.. they are gonna be free.

i dunno if i'll get the stripes or not.. someone told me that a friend bought a 02 HD & was talking about taking the stripes off..
if i catch them before, i'll try to talk them out of it. if not, i'll have some cool stickers for my toolbox.

cool. if i could ever get ahold of a set of black HD flame stripes, i was gonna put them on the underside of my tonneau cover, on the supports that run front to back on the sides. but dont' think thats ever gonna happen LoL

i emailed that girl about getting some custom stuff made, but she never got back to me. i wanted to get some underhood plaques like you have but with info for the HD

Eventually

I've been thinking about painting flames on my 02 SG HD for some time, but haven't looked into it yet. I'm figuring it'll cost a pretty penny, but I'm planning to go over to Santini's Auto Paint and get a quote. I figure that if I do it, might as well do it right!

I have been thinking of changing hoods, too, but haven't convinced myself yet. If I do, I think I'm gonna paint part of the hood as well.

I'm guessing that it'll be about $2k for what I want, but I'm not basing that off any reliable information.

Hope this helps.

Price

I'd guess around $300-$500 for a simple stripe then. Let me know what you find out, as it may affect my decision too!

I want to follow the basic flame stripe that's there now, but widen it a bit toward the end. Still toying with the actual look though!

Good luck!
