A Supercharger on a 2001 HDF150????

Has anyone added a Supercharger to their 2001 HDF-150. With the factory putting out the 2002 HDF-150 with the Supercharger I would imagine it is a bolt on job?

If so, what cost and what other mods were needed (chip?)

Info travels slowly "Downunder" 'cause their are only 6 2001 HDF-150's in the country and I've got one of them. I think a supercharger under the bonnet on the 2001 HDF-150 (without flaunting the fact like the 2002 badges do..... no offence to all you 2002 owners!) would certainly leave the Ford XR8 utes for dead....cometo think of it.... I leave 'em all for dead now!

its not that simple if you want to use teh eaton blower that is on the 02 HD's. They run lower compression than the non-sc trucks, so if you wanted to use their blower, you'd have to change alot of the internals in addition to just a regular blower kit. Also you'd need to get a new intake, new exhaust, intercooler and all that kind of stuff. I'd suggest going with like a magna charger or a kenne belle or ati. Check with crash in the supercharger forums. he knows his stuff. But ya can't just bolt on a 02 HD supercharger. You'd think so, but it doesn't work like that

anyway, good luck! Let us know how it all works out

I put a Vortech SC on my 2001 HD cost was $4700 installed. I got a gain of 110hp. If you go to my galley you can view pic's and dyno. No other mods were needed. I did however put in a chip afterwards. Future mods include a 10lb pulley and intercooler. This should give me well over 400hp at the wheels.
