Thumbs up MODERN MARVELS shows the Harley F150!!

The History Channel's show "Modern Marvels" just did an excellent documentary on the evolution of the pickup truck. There was a tasty section dedicated to our trucks, showing the features, attitude and customer loyalty to the H-D F150 model.

It's pretty schweet; check it out if you get a chance. Just ordered a DVD of the special from historychannel.com...

Yep, saw it last night myself. Showed the new Ford Tonka, and those modified (stretched) pickups and stuff. Anyway, they said that the Harley Truck has a cult following just like the Harley bikes, that people are getting tattoos saying Harley F150 and everything.

Is this a cult, really?

Yeah, I have had regular 4 door duallies before. I couldn't imagine trying to turn that 6 door around in a parking lot. I bet it's turning radius is wider than a football field.

I'm just trying to imagine an H-D F150 with that squared-off Tonka/spy shot '04 body style. They said the H-D is all about a hot-rod, mean and low street truck look, so it's kind of hard to picture at the moment.

If any of you know when it's going to be on again, let me know.

I guess I can just go home and have my trusty TIVO record it.

BTW, next best toy to my HD-F150 is TIVO. If you don't have it, get it!!

I saw it too. It was cool when they explained the technology of the new ford v10 diesel that is in the Tonka. It has the hydrolic cylenders that builds pressure up when braking and releases it when accelerating. Cool Stuff. #356, you can buy the dvd or videotape off historychannel.com, i want that on dvd myself.

RickC and those of you who are unfamiliar:

http://www.tivo.com/

Darn!! Looks like I missed the one on Pickup Trucks. There is one on Muscle Cars tonight though. 10:00 pm EST.

I set my TIVO to record a Season Pass for this show so if it comes one again I'll have it recorded. I'll try to let you know ahead of time if it's on again.

Awesome device. Thanks for the info Bill. I guess I haven't kept up with the recording technology since switching to DVD movies and recorders.

Thanks again for the info.

No problem, RickC. I tell you I can't stand to watch regular television anymore. I don't know the last time I watched a commercial.

Plus the pausing and replaying is great during football season

Harley356,
Just get yourself a TIVO and it will find and record it for ya
