Just put on new headlights!!!!!

Well, i ordered three sets of 02 HD lights from a guy in florida. took about 5 days to get to me. heads came with new bulbs too. anyway, i'm gonna see if the guy also has L tails, cuz i know from the price of hte heads, that the tails would be a great price also. Anyway, here's some pics (what a suprise huh? :lol )

they popped right in and out. Took about 5-10 minutes per side at max. TOTALLY transforms the look of the truck. It just brightens the front end up so much!! You 02 guys are lucky!

I'm running out of ideas for appearance mods. :lol Hood inserts will be here soon, and then ghost flames if i get them, and i want to get a custom Harley F150 windshield banner sometime, and then L tails because the truck looked cool with headlight covers and slotted taillight covers, but the new headlights just brightened up the front of the truck so much, i think the L tails would go perfect with them.

Pics don't do it enough justice either! I always loved the L heads, until the 02 HD's came out, then i had to ahve those. Trying to keep to HDf150 parts when i can when upgrading.

Next i'm gonna get some xenon bulbs with the slight blue tint for the heads and fogs, and maybe the backup lights if i get L ones (do you know the size for those tek? thanks)

anyway, here's a pic of the hood's reflection of the sky, looks pretty cool. can't image how its gonna look once i can zaino it! LoL

so, what do ya guys think?

Unusual for me to get 3 mods in one month! :lol hood, headlights, and grille inserts. LoL

probably not that big of a change for you 02 guys, but you're probably used to it. Its a huge change over the crappy looking stock lights.

anyway, i posted again just to say that the other spare sets are already spoken for. just to save me from getting another 20 or so emails about them

One question - Why 3 sets??

Zaino that hood!!! Then take the same pic. (Make sure the clouds are exactly the same.)

Looks really nice!

I was wondering why you bought three sets... to resell. Makes sense now.

BTW, I like the hood. Wife doesn't want to change anything on her HD... so it's at a stand still for now.

Not sure I am going to mod the L at all. I might sell it in 6-8 months and break even (I get A-Plan), and simply get a new one. Always drive something new that way.

However... I have seen pics of L's with the Mustang GT scoop on them. I kind like it. And I could always use a chip and 6# on the next truck...

Hi Harley #356,

Just happened to see your pics, very nice indeed. You're right, those clear lenses set off the appearance of the truck far more than you'd ever think they would.

Just installing the clear corner lense in the 2001 & up Lightnings does a good bit as well, surprisingly so, and they already have the clear headlamp lense to begin with. Changing both lenses as you have done gives a dramatic improvement to teh look of teh front of the truck, very noticeable.

That is a *beautiful* truck you have there Harley# 356, you should be very proud of what you've done. It is nicely understated, and has excellent visual impact.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!!!

anyway, as for why i got 3 sets, when i mentioned a few weeks ago i was gonna get 02 HD lights and i had a great price, a couple of my friends told me they wanted in on a set for their trucks, so i hooked them up.

I'll probably zaino the hood this weekend. The guy said i could use the zaino polish anytime, but not any wax (i don't use wax anyway). I'm taking the truck back over to him tomorrow though cuz there are a few spots that look like there is still some polish on but i don't want to rub too hard to see if they'll come off or not, so he's gonna buff the hood again for me. Its hard to explain what it looks like, kinda like he missed a few tiny spots of buffing the polish off, but i can't get it off rubbing it lightly with a cotton towell, so i don't wanna risk hurting the clear coat by rubbing to hard, so he's gonna take a look.

Zinc, i know what ya mean. I will NOT change anything on the truck that can't be changed back easily. Which means NO drilling holes no matter what! or anything like that. LoL. The hood is a simple bolt on using the factory hinges and latch. Bolts right up, and i'm putting my other hood up in the attic along with all my other stuff that i changed on teh truck (intake, lights), so maybe you can come up with some arguement to get a new hood if ya really wanted? LoL

ROUSHFAN, don't let the cat outta the bag yet but make sure ya post pics when you know what. LoL

Thanks again for all the coments!!!

its a Kodac DX3900, 3.1 megapixels, digital zoom. The pics quality are awsome on my computer (and HUGE!). when i resize them for my gallery though they loose some quality, so its defintatley a good camera. I think my dad bought it on ebay.

o yeah, thanks for the compliments
