Thumbs down rain gutter rust spot found...darn it...

well i was washing the truck and darn it if i didnt find rust in the indent area of the top of the cab...i guess these are the dreaded
thin paint areas some have talked about...along the grooves i can see lighter paint in the radius....and the one spot where rust has surfaced

i hoped i wouldnt need to bring the truck for warranty work...and im hoping this is covered...

anybody had this resolved or reported to dealership..i dont like not having the truck, but for this i might have too!darn

my roof channels had cracks in the paint since day one. there is like a rubbery sealant under the channels, so i guess that's why it started cracking. its just gotten worse in teh channels, but hasn't spread out. i'm gonna have to take it in. its a pretty common problem. at least i only have 2 rain channels unlike the screws with moonroofs. they have a bunch

Funny you mention that! I just noticed the dreaded rust at the bottom of my door the other day. I forget but is it covered by warrantee to have it fixed after only a little over a year and a half?

I was looking at my roof the other day and noticed the paint had primer bleed through.... unbelievable. I'm scared to take it to the dealer as they will probably screw it up worse..

It's right on the very bottom on the inside. Looks like where the sheet metal kind of folds up towards the inside. Right above the edge of the metal. Drivers side.
