Belltech 3/3 bottoming on 2002 HD
Belltech 3/3 bottoming on 2002 HD
Just had Ford dlr install Belltech 3 inch coils on front and 2inch shackels and 1 inch hanger on rear with all new shocks and all the right stuff but am bottoming out too much on 2002 HD.
Love the stance and even front and back with tire tops about even with bottom of fender wells.
I hate to remove the hanger and change the stance but hitting belltech bump stop too much.
I can handle a occasional slam but not on a regular basis.
Am not concerned with carrying a load as truck wont be used to haul or tow
Would love a quick fix or something to try and still keep the stance
Your comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated

yeah, the 3" springs got him a 2" front drop and then he has 2" hangers (just cuz they were installed 1st with shackles, and shackles were easier to take out) i remember when he said he had teh back dropped 3" it bottomed out too much and then he went with just the 2" rear drop and there isn't any more bottoming out. He's got the best looking stance on here IMO.
Just fixed problem of bottoning out by repositioning on belltech shackel raising rear 1/2 inch
Radical difference
almost no bottoming out with a greatly improved ride
good solid ride with no bouncing and improved handling and ride
is a joy now and didnt bother stance
just thought everybody might like too know
thanks for your help and response

Blownbyu,
I am in Charlotte and used a SC svt Ford Dealer to do my lowering.
There was two sets of bolt holes on my Belltech 2 inch shackels to connect too and we reconnected to highest set of holes to raise rear about 1/2 inch leaving 1 inch hangers and front as is and that minor change was radical in bottoming out, ride and handling.
Hope this helps,
