Imposters

I never though it would bother me.
People dressing up their x-cab and even regular cab f150 trucks to resemble the HD.
But good lord there are so many around the Baton Rouge, area.
Its driving me crazy.
They look so cheesy.
Im going to keep my camera with me and start taking pictures so you guys can get a laugh as well.
I guess we should be flattered by these suttle compliments.
Or should we???
Rant off.
Vince

, yes please take pics. it bugs me too, but i don't mind it if they do a good job at it and not a half @$$ one with just emblems or rims. But if its just to a regluar black f150 adn they do it, i don't see why they just don't buy a HD. would be cheaper than trying to make a complete replica

Good for laugh

http://www.beaterz.com/

Funny website, though it's mostly people lowering Hondas and what not. It's funny to think what people will do to their cars.

I see stupid lowered Hondas every day around my neighborhood, with their three inch muffler tip and primered body panels. Yet for some reason they have all the gauges and a fire extinguisher on the dash! But to each their own.

I too dislike poseurs. But I agree with Harley#356, there is a point where, given a job well done and some innovation, they could (I stress could) do something interesting.

Why make something look like something that exists when you could do something original?

Cool

Keep in mind that imitation is most sincere form of flattery. When I see it I just laugh hard, shrug the shoulders, wave it off, and keep driving smiling knowing that I am the one that is in HD and he is not and that he knows that too. Not to forget that even those that are not in the know quickly notice difference once trucks start moving. One of them is very quickly and swiftly ahead and you all know which one that is.

LV, i saw a new Avalanche on the LP Causeway the other day. it had the big orange harley wings decal on the back glass, and as i passed it , i couldn't believe the fender emblems,,,, "Harley-Davidson F-150 . i was in my Lightning, and i'm sure he knew, that i knew the difference, but for some reason he wouldn't look my way

Now, now ya'all don't get your panties in a wad. Like ZoranC said enjoy the fact that you have the real thing and they don't.

I too have seen this Harley edition avalanche.
You have got to love it.
I have not been on side of it though.
Crossing an intersection in mandeville, giving myself whiplash, and checking my bladder control, i could not stop laughing.
People this is not a Hoax.
Lets team up to snap a picture of this endangered species.
