Good while it lasted...
Well fellas, I finally took the plunge. By 0800 tomorrow morning, the HD will be gone. In her place will be a brand spanking new 02 True Blue Lightning! I'll miss the old girl, and the looks she got, but it's time for a change...finally. Been back and forth for months now about what to do. It's been real.
I mentioned before some things I'll be getting rid of. Those who already responded, you still got dibs (except, I'll be keeping the bed rug now since I didn't get the 03 HD, sorry). I'll wait a few days for you guys before posting in the classifieds. Also have:
--Two new HD Badges for the 00
--01 Lightning 3rd brake light (used)
--01 Lightning tail lights (these are in pretty good condition, the right side has a very small bubble where I was stupid with the screw. Trust me, it's hardly noticable, hell it's been on my truck the whole time)
--Brand new 00 HD front bra with plate cutout. Bought this from Reggy, and never got around to even opening the package.
--I have some brand new headlights and corners. Here's the deal, the headlights are 01 Lightning and the corners are 02 HD. I can sell these together, which is the same set up as the Lightning. Or whoever wants could wait until I get the 02 HD heads and take that set. Those I should get in a few days. In which case, I'll still have either a pair of L heads or HD heads depending on who contacts me with what they want.

sorry to see ya get rid of the HD baddgene, keep in touch, and post pics of it on the board when you get it. Just curious, how much are you selling the HD for?

356, I got $20000 even trade on my truck. It has just over 20k miles. Don't know if I got a good deal or not, but the Lightning was calling me like crack cocaine! I'm very happy, I finally crossed the bridge.
As for the items for sale, all is spoken for except the bra (brand new, never taken out of the box).

baddgene, 20K wasn't too bad for trade in. KBB lists trade in at 22K here in jersey for your HD. but retail is 28.5K 
You would have been better off selling it privately, but i can understand what you were going through. I did the same thing to get my HD. I just traded in my 95 contour 5 speed to the dealer so i could get the HD quicker. They gave me 5K and i probably could have gotten 7 or 8K for it if I sold it, but couldn't wait. I'll bet though that once the HD series ends (if it does in 04 like its supposed to) that the prices of HD's in excellent condition will start to go back up.
oh and not sure if you saw the post, abullerm asked you about the bra.
