Anyone seen the ford F150 HD hat with the flames? I would like to paint the front and fenders of my truck to match that hat. It's way cool.

BoltAction? I would ask around to see if anyone had input on that managers comments. There are some good painters out there and I would not stop after one persons comment. If I really wanted it, I would investigate it more. If you go to the other site, there is a good looking 01 HD with blue flames. I wonder how it was done...

Yeah, as it stands, my brand new HD has been in the body shop for almost 2 weeks now. The bumper and hood looks killer!! Bumper still needs color sand and buff, I guess.

I think when my HD is done with current shop, I'll take it over to a local shop who is very popular with graphic paint designs- Brinks. I have a feeling that they will be 3 times the price for my flames, but I still have to know. I'll keep you all updated.

Yeah, that's the hat. I ordered it and a license plate frame on Monday. I think the Harley would look good painted to match those flames...

I would like to buy blueflamedude's 01 Harley for the wife. She is always jumping in mine and taking off. But I'm afraid the price will be to steep for me. But would be seriously nice having two parked in the garage, especially if I had mine painted with flames also. What a thought.

We are thinking about taking off the sticker kit and repainting it the same color but in ghost flames and then maybe add some to the hood.

But this is all dependant upon if the Boss goes along with the whole Idea

What shop is this? I work out of burbank and am looking to get some ghost flames on my 01 hd. I want to get them color matched to the pinstriping on the bottom. Let me know the shop name or of you know how much he charges. I juts want them to go over my hood, and onto the side front doors. not the back doors. and to stay on top of my existing pinstriping. let me know thanks!

Marvz and Boltaction-

what color ghost flames are you doing - i took off the decals and was thinking of looking into doing a ghost strip/flame down the side rather than getting a custom made decal.

Yah, I've been driving around town without the decals for past 3-4 weeks and I think it looks better without, myself. The body shop had to remove them to blend fenders when they painted my 3" cowl hood. This is what gave me the idea of painting flames, because the stripe decal kit is $600?

I did find a guy here in San Diego for the flames job, but I have too many other $$ projects going on right now. The graphics painter is Rob Miller, anyone know him? I checked out some of his work on a very nice Screw belonging to a Ford Truck World member, who bought my stock '02 HD bumper. His truck looks insane in person!

I was thinking the stripes were 200.00 from Ford. Didn't realize that was per side...

OUCH!

its all just cuz people want them so they jack the price up, plus its a HD f150 part, so it gets increased twice as much

I wanted to match them to the orange pinstriping that they come with from factory. I still haven't found a place to get them done at

I think red pearl flames would look really neat...I like the blue but I would choose a different color.

Bolt...have you decided which color you want? Also..like Josh said...be sure to post pics once painted.

Awesome boat! Is that a Fairlane or Galaxie you got sitting next to it? That looks pretty awesome too. Post a pic.
