update on a few things
well i dropped the hood off today for paint. Should be ready in about a week!!! can't wait. I'm taking it to a different guy than i planned, but i've seen this guy's work and its nothing short of amazing! I've never really seen alot of the other guy's work, so i'd rather spend a little more $$$ to assure i get a better done job. Hood should be back on by monday...for now the stock one is back on 
also when i get it back on, i'm gonna call a few guys about getting flamed!!! lol, i just want something subtle, like 2 red pearl ghost flames on the scoops.
Also, took the truck in to get the side seat control trim replaced cuz last time they scratched it. Part wasn't in. They put the truck on the lift too cuz i noticed a few spots in the drive and wanted them to check it out, and last time i cleaned underneath, i noticed a little red fluid on the front of the driveshaft and what do ya know? my rear tranny seal is bad! Sat there for about 2 hours and then they came back and said "we don't have the seal" well DUH! don't check before you start something. So they need to order one and i'll have to take the truck back in for that. it never seems to end. At least its only a minor leak and i can still drive it and all. just hope they don't screw up something else when they fix this problem. LoL damn dealerships

Have them put the ghost flames on when they paint the rest of the hood, the flames will get clearcoated along with the rest of the hood and it will turn out really smooth with no tape lines.

I would, but this guy doesn't do flames. well he does, but he told me he'd rather send me over to another guy who taught him how to do it and is really awsome at it. The other guy only does flames and custom painting graphics like that, and not whole hoods or whatever 
I'll probably have them shoot the whole hood again with clear after i get the flames though or something
also gives me time to scrounge up for some change
probably will wait until after winter to get them anyway cuz i dont' have a garage so she sits in the snow

Add a little space heater (winter) or evaporative cooler (summer) and you are good to go when you do those long detailing sessions. Plus, if it rains, you are safe. How many times have you washed it for the show and been zapped by a quick rain shower... don't make me go and count the posts... lol j/k

If you don't mind me asking.... about how much is the guy going to charge you to do the ghost flames? I'm thinking about doing this in a few months. I want something real subtle too, nothing radical.

yes zoran, another one. but its only the 3rd ford related one. (roof channel cracks, window seal, tranny seal) all the others had to do with the dealer and Leer. BigIke, i'm guessing around 300 for a set of red pearl ghost flames on the hood. (one on each scoop) you may have seen pics of the L with blue flames on the hood that i posted which looks like what i want. IF you want the whole truck, its gonna cost around 2-3 grand.
Plus, if it rains, you are safe. How many times have you washed it for the show and been zapped by a quick rain shower... don't make me go and count the posts... lol j/k
But i have to put up with it. I mean, what would you rather buy? a fabric tent that i couldn't keep up all year and would look like crap in my drive? or a flamed ram air hood? LoL. I may get a truck cover though from ford, cuz i get a discount at the dealer and no shipping charges. yeah it sucks cuz its alot of work to keep the truck clean, but hey, it gives me something to do.

3 ain't so bad. I took my truck in last week with quite a number of issues. While I was discussing them with service manager I found one more
Service manager told me it will take at least 2 weeks before I get my truck back. I am angry as hell One thing is sure, Ford and Harley-Davidson will hear from me.

by ghost flames i mean the ones that disappear at certain angles, and reappear at others. all depending on light and the angle you are at.
this is basically what i want, but slightly different, and i want it in red pearl ghost... you can't see them from like 30 feet back, and at certain angles/lighting
