Your dealer must get the ball rolling. Ford has no idea that you bought the truck until the dealer reports it to FoMoCo. If he forgets, you get nothing. If the dealer reports your address incorrectly to Ford (as mine was - transposed house numbers), you will probably get nothing. Luckily, the mailman recognized the error for a non-existent house. Dealers might not know about the HD promos, but they HAVE to report the sell to FoMoCo to put things in motion.

Got it today (Sep 26th)

My gift box came today...two months to the day I bought the HD. Nice stuff...should be, with the cost of this automobile! Old lady wants to put it in her curio cabnet...won't let me carry the knife around!

Congratulations on the new title Senor SuperSCrew_820.
It is a worthy accomplishment. Although there are over 27,000 members, only 1400 are Senor.

Check this out. Several weeks ago I found two boxes at my home from Ford Motor Co. Yep, that's right, I received TWO identical gift sets at the same time. Both have the leather case and knife/plaque set. Both plaques are engraved with my name, etc. I wonder how this happened? Obviously, I didn't return one of the sets. I put one up in the closet and have the second on display for others to wish for. This happen to anyone else?

Well the chain is nice so two are doubly great. I've thought about putting one of the plaques on the rear firewall between the two rear seats but I'm not sure what to use to hold it there. I don't want to permanently mount it by drilling holes etc. Any suggestions?

3m double sided tape! Like you would use for emblems on the exterior and such. The 2000 HD's got an oval owner's plaque, and it had the double sided tape on the back, instead of the felt or whatever, so it was made to be put in the interior somewhere. The reason the 01 and 02's aren't like this though is cuz that company went out of business, so its a different company that makes the 01 and 02 plaques, and they just did it different. Anyway, mine's been on the passenger side airbag cover for about 2 years now with no trouble at all in summer heat with windows up, or the cold winters. I'll have to try and get a good pic of it sometime. I've seen a few other guys that put theirs on the back wall inbetween the 2 rear seats on the 02's and it looks great. Blwnhd#34 put another HDf150s/c emblem there and that looks cool too. Post pics if you do it, it'll look great

I'm trying to think of a place in my interior to put a fender emblem because i can get them for a great price. I want to put one on the radiator cover, and maybe one on the front wall of the bed so it can be seen at shows, but not sure about where to put one inside yet. any suggestions?

thanks

Not to worry Harley#356, you'll pass me on 4/13/2003.
You'll pass SuperChips Distributor on 11/16/2008.
You have the second highest PPD on the board.

yeah, isn't ICULOKN #1? i think that's who it is, not totally sure.

but my ppd aren't totally acurate either cuz i stopped posting for about 4 or 5 months there, only posted like once or twice a week, so its actually higher than that if the average started like from 4 months ago

Thanks for the info harley #356. I'll try the 3M double sided tape and let you know. As far as the fender emblem, it would work between the seats also. But you would have to remove the guides or end up drilling holes in the rear cover.
