License plate frame

Just changed my rear license plate frame from ACE FORD to a metal harley one. Looks pretty cool. Next i'm going to ditch the ball (never towed anything anyway, just put it in cuz it looked better than a hole) and get a plug and paint it to match the bumper (anybody have the part #???). I also have the HarleyF150 frame and tag from ford, but i don't want to use them so they won't get messed up

sorry, truck is filthy. in a drought and not allowed to wash trucks or water the lawn at all, and its rained teh past 3 days, and they are calling for it 2morrow. go figure. LoL

just tryin anything to make my ****-yellow tags look better. LoL (if thats even possible)

I ordered the flamed hat and the license plate frame from www.thefordsource.com, but I don't like the frame. You can't see the lettering at all.

I have the plate, and the frame also. You can see it at angles and stuff. I didn't put them on the truck anyway though cuz i buy all the HDf150 stuff from ford and keep it all safe in display cases and such.

I guess I will bolt mine on, but I wish the lettering was black. That would have looked better and been more noticable.

maybe try painting the letters? and then wiping off the outter chrome with nail polish remover or something when its still wet? i know the letters are indented a little, but haven't looked at them in so long so i'm not sure if it'll work or not. jsut a though

I thought about that, but the letters are engraved as individual lines, not a easy task I would think.

From: Tampa, FL, or Memphis TN... depends.
I am not sure if any of you are familiar with the company called "MGW PRECISION, Ltd." (http://www.mgwltd.com/) but they are a little company that makes awsome stuff. I have a bunch of it on my Mustang. They inspect every piece that is chromed and will reject it even for the slightest flaw.

Anyway, they have nice License Plate Frame frames for the F150/Lightning. I have emailed George (one of the owners) to do a HD Edition. I may be a single voice however, so if the rest of you sent him an email (mgw@acool.net) -- make sure to put ATTN: George" in the Subject line, and let him know that there is a strong HD gang out there that is thirsting for HD gadgets for your truck, he may respond.

Here is the direct link to his License Plate Frames: http://www.mgwltd.com/lightning_and_...ate_frame.html

Tell you what, after this I am going to create a new msg. thread about this. Then in about a week I'll just send him an email pointing him to it. Make sure to tell him stuff like 12k HD each year vs 4-6k Lightnings!

So hold your thoughts and look for a a Subject of "Cool MGW Ltd. stuff!" and post it in there.
