To continue the paint would be a bit difficult. at the seam between the black and silver is a square pattern with the words Harley Davidson.. just like the 100 yr anniversary bikes.

I just went to the local dealer today, and picked up the 03 F-150 brochure. There's there's just that one page in there about the HD. He said he didn't even have the optional equipment or the ability to order the truck yet. He said maybe 1 Oct. He also told me I could order one and pay x-plan when he's able! How about that! He has no idea about price. The two tone paint job doesn't look as good in the book. There are some gold and black lines where the two colors meet. There will be a standard black with a silver stripe instead of orange. It's in the book.
Hooah Drill Sergeant!
Ft. Huachuca, AZ- Sierra Vista, AZ my old stomping ground...
Yep, I used to be stationed with the cable dogs in the 69th Signal Company, across the street from Barnes Field House. I heard they're no longer in that building.
We were effectionatley called "The Zoo", which is fitting since we were all a bunch of animals that kicked butt & took names all over that post, from the Why not Club (Even though it was for trainees - to the NCO club, to the baseball field, basketball courts and football fields....
But, we did take time out to soldier now & then too- having deployed from there in November 1990 to go quiet down this guy in Iraq called Saddam, (Unfortunately, it seems it was ony temporary)...
Well, continue to condition their bodies and their minds, Drill Sergeant. I got my conditioning at Ft. Jackson, SC back in 1987, I remember it like it was yesterday...
2/28 INF Reg., C. Co. 4th PLT Warhawks.... August 1987 - Oct 1987. From there, to Ft. Gordon, then my career began.
I exited the military in 1996 after nearly 10 years.... After Desert Storm, a Long tour in Germany & two short tours to Korea & Saudi Arabia.... Not to mention Ft. Huachuca, and two trips to Ft. Hood.....
Take it easy Drill..... Hooah!
PT- Chant:
Drill Sergeant, Drill Sergeant don't stop yet. Give me a chance to break a sweat. Smoke me Drill Sergeant smoke me. Smoke me Drill Sergeant smoke me. Hoooooooaahhh!
PS- I don't like the Killer Whale look of that New Harley.....
Leave it black.... Leave it badass!

Bighersh, seems we travel in the same circles. I too spent a tour in Germany and two at Hood. Also, did the Saudi thing with 2ACR out of Germany then. I came to Huachuca the first time in 92, and met a lot of signal brothers from my house (George W. Prioleau #13, Huachuca City, understand?) And I remember them having a bad image mostly. It ain't like that now, pretty tame. The NCO club don't hop like it used to either. And I havn't heard of an All nighter in Tucson since I've been here. But, I'm too old and busy for all that anyway.
I saw you and your cousins trucks in another post, and they do look pretty sweet. The thing is they ain't no...well, you know!
Peace!

Badgene-
Yep, we certainly do Badgene-
Yep, I know about George's house in Huachuca city. I had a few friends that used to go all the time: H. "Biz" Campbell 69th SIG, Townsend, 521st SIG. They both were leaving in 1992 for Germany & Italy respectively. Sean Jordan (SSG now, maybe even a SFC) and Ross (SGT)....
Maybe you met them. We were all SPC's back in 1991 though.
I was in 3ID, 123rd SIG BN in Wurzburg, Germany. 1/88 - 1/90
Then 69th SIG CO, Ft. Huachuca, AZ. 1/90 - 12/91
Camp Messenger, Saudi Arabia (11/90 - 6/91)
Back to AIT to reclassify (12/91 - 4/92)
57th SIG BN, Ft. Hood, TX (4/92 - 9/94)- Got married.....
2ID, 122nd SIG BN, Korea (10/94 - 10/95)
16th SIG BN, Ft. Hood, TX (11/95 - 11/96)
Then, I called it a career.... I beat myself up from time to time, because I hear they changed retirement back to 20 years for folks that joined after 1 Novenber 1986, from the 30 that it was when I joined. That being the case, I'd be 4 years, 364 days & a wake up from retiring at 38.... Oh well, there's no way I'm starting over!! :^)
Yep, we used to roll to Obsessions in Tucson (5:1 women to men.)... Nice, but Obsessions got closed down for some reason. Davis Monthan AFB was where we used to do the All-Nighters, but they weren't hitting any more. Then we started going to the Wildcat house at the University of Arizona..... Nice......
I had a friend that I grew up with (CPT Dennis Daniels) that reclassified at Ft. Huachuca in 1996. It's a small world... If you played football at Ft. Hood, we probably played against each other at some point.
I was one of "The 4 Horsemen" with the 69th SIG Co, tackle league. We had some big-ol corn fed guys in the 69th... So many Batallion thought we were lying on the tape test, and they came down and did a weigh in on our company (Ever heard of that before?)
Me: 6'1" 255 (Back then)
Maines: 6'3" 250
Hill: 6'3" 256
Jones: 6'4" 245
Then Biz came, he played for the University of Utah, before joining the Army, but he was 6'3" 270....
That was just 5 of us, and you know we were all overweight by Army standards, but we all passed the tape test, every month. I guess BN couldn't believe it, and wanted to see for themselves!
We won the post trophy in Nov. 1991-We were undefeated in 1990, (10 - 0) but lost the same Saturday we flew to Saudi Arabia (Too many drunk/hung over players) Next year, our CO decided he wanted to coach, so he did, and we lost the 1st two... We fired him, got our old coach back, and won 8 straight- went to the playoffs & killed everybody to win the championship.
Well, take care Drill SGT. Make 'em do an extra 15 reps of flutter kicks for me! I was gonna be a Drill SGT (I was gonna try anyway) but, being in the Married Army Couples program, my wife would've had to go too, and she didn't want to be a Drill SGT... So, where she went I had to go & vice versa (Which is how I ended up in Korea!)...
Long hours, but it still seemed like fun... "This We'll Defend"...
Well, take care Sarge.... Holla.
