Exclamation Electric Fan: Hey Db!!!

Hey Db, a few guys over at FTW were thinking about electric fans and were wondering what was the best. I know you got one, but switched to another because you didn't like it, so i told them i'd ask you because you got on. So what one do you have now, and was it worth it? Thanks.

HAHAHA,
Thats a touchy subject. Im still waiting for mark at Lightning force to get them in stock. Ive paid $500 for the fan and water pump and only got the water pump. Paid him about 2.5 months ago. Its BS. I spoke to him today and he said to call back and I did and no one answered. Im getting a refund if I cant get it before the 12th. Ive been on 3 business trips while waiting and thats normally when I get it done. When out of town. Like I said HAHAHA.

Ford Crown Vic

Someone ran a pretty good set of directions for using a junkyard Ford Crown Vic fan. I burned the copies off but haven't found the fan yet. If you do a search back a year or so it should show up.

I installed a electric fan on my 01' Lightning.
I ordered the fan and water pump from ford ( same ones used by the venders ). I think the fan was $120 and the water pump was $69.
I may have the part #'s if anyone wants them.

You do have to mount the fan to your fan shroud, unless you buy another shroud for about $45.

Thanks

Mark,
Thanks alot. Hows it been working for you? Have you had any problems with it since you installed it? And you said the brackets were made from 1/8" x 4' . 4 foot??? why so long? or was that just the length you bought? Hahaha . I find it hilarous that I paid $500 bucks 3months ago and still have nothing to show. Thanks again, I will be asking for a refund tomarrow.
Doug
