Boost gauge question ?
I hooked up my new autometer boost gauge and it goes on the vac side of the gauge when I'm not in the boost is this normal ?
Or did I hook it up wrong ?
It showed 13.5-14lbs at its peek

Yes it is. Your truck is under vacuum when not under boost... Tell me what you get on your autometer at idle with all accessories OFF while in park. I get about 20-21ish inHg, depending on outside temp. Interesting reading. I am peaking around 13 and I only have a 4lb lower...

Oh wait you said Texans, I am just north if that counts in Oklahoma but my bro and I are meeting some L guys down there for the weekend. I cant wait... Nothin like fast cars and some tit bars... HAHAHA, but ya we already got the hotel rooms reserved and all... so just counting down the days now... anyone else headed there?
It hits about the same as yours at idle.
I did get a hair below 15lbs this morning temp was 81.
I also hear a slight hissing noise, must be a leak somewhere.
I have only hooked it up to see if it works I still need a pod for it.

I switched from a digital boost meter to a mechanical meter. The mechanical reads around -20psi (vacuum) at idle. At a punch it will hit around 7.5psi (pressurized) max, I only have an JLM Ram Air Kit.
