I really like my Magnaflow... pretty polished stainless case doesn't hurt either.

I had FM50 on my '01 Harley. It sounded good, and in fact, quite a step up from stock. From inside, you really can't tell. In fact, I mostly heard the air wooshing in through my K&N FIPK rather than the exhaust. But from the outside, you can really tell. To tell the truth, I was somewhat disappointed at the sound when I was driving it, but one time, I let my girlfriend drop me off at work with my truck, and when she drove away... Man, I wanted to call her to circle around the block a few more times as I listened.

FM50 would be definitely quieter than FM40. At the time, I lived in a condo with a parking garage (one of them multi-level ones) and I didn't want to set off everyone's alarm as I circled around to park so I went with FM50.
