Magnaflow installed...
Got my truck back from the muffler shop yesterday and promptly took it on a 200 mile drive... love it! I had the shop install a Magnaflow #14468 polished stainless 24" long, 2 1/2" DI/DO muffler. They had to fab up some new head pipes from the converters to the muffler, kept the stock tailpipes/tips. Nice rumble... maybe a little too loud for some (like my wife
), perfect for me. Barely noticable at cruise/idle... very nice growl on acceleration. If you want a little quieter, go with a 28" version, PN #14589. Mine was about $95 from http://www.fulllineexhaust.com . They also make a cheaper aluminized version of each.

I am assuming that the OEM muffler was SI/SO.......what did the shop charge for the fab work and install.
Wish I could hear it.
I want the 02 HD but its a little rough up here in the winter, have to have a 4x4, but we'll see.

Had mine done with a FlowMaster ProFlow, same success, different approach. Because of the 90 degree rotation, we put the muffleler on the headpipes as they were, and bent 2 small sections from the muff to match up to the tailpipes.
Sounds great, will work until I do headers & complete exhaust to really do it right.
