Holy Moley!!!

Just got back from 6 days at South Padre Island. The morning before I left several boxes were dropped off at my office by my buddy the UPS man, while I was gone I had my favorite mechanic install my new 'goodies' and could barely wait to get home! The difference is incredible!!! 12 lbs of boost in an instant and a peak of 12.5-13.0... Truck would barely spin from a standing start on good pavement from a stop unless you loaded it up against the converter--now it will smoke them effortlessly... nice little chirp on the WOT upshift to 2nd . The pull in 1st and 2nd is awesome, eases some in 3rd but still charges hard to about 120 before drag really starts to slow the acceleration. The shifts are really nice and firm--not obtrusive, very nice. No noticable detonation on 92 octane. I really liked my truck before... think I'm going to really like it now!!!

Holy cow! an 8lb lower! You must be at 400 RWHP!

That must be a tight fit for an 8lb pulley...

The 8 lb pulley clears just fine--no problems. I actually gained about 6.5 lbs of boost (from 7 max to 13 max)... major improvement .

Are you going to do any engine mods? You don't want to blow up anything. Pistons?

Tomcat--Talked to Gary about 30" ago... he did have a slight clearance problem with the inner lip on the pulley clearing the snout of the crank--had to have about .015 machined off to fit. The low-mid range punch is awesome--you can be going about 25-30 mph and punch it and it breaks loose and starts spinning! Thing is a beast. Ricekicker--I talked to a lot of guys on the L boards that are running 12-15 lbs of boost on the stock shortblocks and to several tuners... key is the chip tuning, proper plugs and cooler thermostat--no detonation equals no problems.
