What do 02' Harleys run in 1/4 mile stock?
good question. It seems these beasts are really suffer from heat and from hot engines.
A few have reported low 14's (14.14 I believe was the lowest) on a cool engine and a cool day with the stock motor.
In HOT weather -- i.e. upper 90's on a warm engine, I have seen reports over 15...
DavidN over on F150world posted a 14.1 on a hot engine/hot day with a 4lb lower, intake, TB, etc. I expect he is looking at a 13.7 or 8 in cooler temps on a cold engine.
There is a thread over on NLOC showing a 10% drop in HP after the third pull on a dyno... obviously a heat soaked engine by the third run... This was on a modded engine, though.
I suspect that if we were to put all of the items that the typical L guy puts on their motor, we can get into the really low 13s. To break 12s is going to take quite a bit and reliability is really going to be in question at that point.
