Unhappy Towing

I just picked my 02' HD up last week. Does anyone know why these trucks dont come with under carriage hitches?

Are these sprung differant than the Lightnings?

You gotsta pay!!

The hitch wiring is in, all you need is the electric brake controller mounted in the cab. Of course, you have to pay extra for a Class III hitch, but they can be had fairly cheap and not hard to install. I moved my electric plug from under the bumper to the frame rail, to clean up the rear.

weight... trying to keep the weight low. I think the bumper is rated at 5500lbs towing and our max tow on the 02 is like 4500, so no real need for a hitch unless you prefer to tow that way.

The wheels also severely limit your towing capacity, as 20" wheels can't take the same weight a 17" wheel can.
