Has anyone had a chance to check out their electric retractable tonneau covers in real life?

Seems like it would be really nice, and allow for a continued stock appearance.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

A friend of mine has one on his truck and loves it. I didnt think it was to good when I first saw it but he was able to stand on the thing and it still worked. Expensive though. Im in debate on a fiberglass or the pace system myself. Ill probably get the pace though because i use my bed alot.

Well the wife got tired of me and my endless "research" to find the best of the best.

I eneded up getting (READ: Ordering) a Leer solid top. Though I still think the Pace Edwards is really cool. Anyway, I will have it in three weeks. Wanted to get it before I went on vacation but...

Anyway, the GOOD news is when talking to the guy, he put me on hold because he said he thought he just got the new Leer order book in. Came back and he did have the new book.

Long story short, Leer now has a new "Lip Over" design that comes over the plastic as the older ones did-- not the one that rests on the plastic sides that I was dreading. It was a no-cost option as was carpeted underside-- so I jumped on it. Total was just under $750.00 installed.

Thanks for the info though guys!

whoa your pretty lucky, i guess too many people complained. I know my friend got the leer that covers the rails a few months ago, and then Mystery Fan got one and it didn't, and now they came back out with it? I really like my leer. Only problem i had was the front seal fell off cuz they used cheap glue on it. Other than that everythings been great. Post pics when you get it, you'll really like it. Here's what it should look like if you got this model.

here's what the 00's look like.

and here's what i did to the under side because they didn't come with liners on the 00's.

Question

Are you sure the Pace set-up will work on the 2002 Harley? The bed rails on the Harley are slightly bowed outward.
