They have quite a few at my local dealer. Their online inventory shows 15, 4 Grey and 11 black.

i would bet that they are one of those jackass dealers that want 5000 extra to have the privelage of buying it.... called "market availability" it seems like with that many on the lot the market availibility should be a discount..... sorry if they arent doing this..... but thats why the dealer near me has 2..... if they dont have a markup i dont know why they are sitting there.... maybe i could get one really cheap.......

Actually the fleet sales manager is a good friend of mine. I bought mine there for $33 and some change. I have x-plan so I get mine for a good price anyway. But he will sell to anyone for invoice plus $400-$700.

He is a volume dealer and one of the best fleet ordering guys Ford has. He also has around 10 02 T-Birds where most dealers get 1 or 2 at a time.

He sells them and immediately re-stocks.

So don't always assume (you know what that does? )

im just bitter because my local dealers are all jackasses. and they have all thier Ls and HDs marked up 5K. i dont know if they stand by that because i have never tryed to deal with them. but it just pisses me off..... i also cant understand how he has that many if he is selling that low??? i wish he was around here..... here they think it is a privelage for the customer to be able to buy the car.... i dont think so!!!!! anyway.... be thankful for a good dealer.

Hey Steve,
That's why I went all the way to South Carolina. I looked at our "friendly dealer" in Lake Park the SM told me he "might be able to do sticker, if I was serious." Plus the original sales guy that spoke to me didn't even know the truck had a supercharger. He opened the hood and I showed him.
When I took it in for the first oil change (didn't have time to do it myself), the service guy asked me why I didn't buy it from them. I told him it was because he had a 3k markup on the sticker. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying for good service, but we were talking about 5k difference...

Our dealer also has a sticker thats 5-10k over MSRP for anyone who doesn't ask questions. There are folks who just pay whatever is on the sticker. (What will my payment be?? Ya know!)

We are in the SF Bay Area so volume dealers are the norm around here. In smalltown America their allotment is less so of course they want every nickel they can get out of you.

I learned in my years of buying cars that you go straight to the Fleet Sales manager when you are serious. They almost always give you a fair deal. They will usually show you invoice (Not MSRP) and offer to sell it to you at a price either a percentage or dollar amount over that.

In this day of the internet, anyone can get the invoice price of a vehicle. In the 'olden' days that info was hard to come buy so you were stuck paying what the dealer wanted.

You need to take a trip to Calif. Buy a truck here and think of the lovely drive you will have back home in your new truck

Yep, i know the friendly dealer in lake park!!!! they still have 2 02 HDs sitting there because they will not budge... when i bought my truck i didnt even go there. so i havent dealt with the sales people, but i hate ignorant sales people. especially when they try to tell you something that isnt true. But, i think it is really hard to get a good deal around here because of all the big money around. anyway, i am about to close a deal on an ATI for my truck. I was wondering if you ever go out to moroso to race. I would like to start going there to tune my truck after i get the charger. it would be cool to go with you since you have an 02. i could see what i can do. I am expecting to be able to run low 14s to high 13s. but i have never drag raced before..... so i might suck. anyway.... hope too see you around in that BAD 02...

Steve,
I used to live in Miami and a buddy of mine owns World Ford in Homestead. He told me that Florida had 1 of the lowest purchase numbers for the HDs. He told me that HDs werent that popular in Florida (retirement Capital of the world). Sucks for us. Anyways its the same in Daytona and Orlando. The few that we get in daytona normally sit on the lot till Bike week or Biketoberfest. Or the dealer hides them till then hoping to get better prices. The 00s and 01s were all sold before they hit the lot. now theyve got about 12 02s justing sitting. I went and looked at trading in and was told that they have been selling more to other dealers then to customers. That was there excuse for not being able to work on a better price. A$$H0L3S
