Just wondering what alot of you guys are using. I know the 3 main polishes used on this site seem to be Zaino, Klasse, and Liquid Glass, but i wanted to know what you guys were using for

1. Chrome
2. Vinyl
3. Leather
4. Tire Shine




Here's what i use:

1. Chrome Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish (this stuff worked wonders for my one rim that was dull from the factory. Now its just as shiney as the rest)





But i saw an ad today for mothers billet polish. The ad said-> "State of the art cleaners and cutting edge formulation give your billet, forged and finely cast aluminum, brass and other polishable metals the absolute finest finish available—guaranteed." Any body use this? I am almost out of my other polish, and was thinking of trying it.





2. Vinyl I was using mothers preserves protectant, and was happy with it. I then ran out, and tried Vinylex, but don't like it.







3. Leather - i use Turtle wax emerald series cleaner/conditoner. I really like it, puts a nice low gloss shine, makes the leather soft, isn't greasy, smells good. I'm almost out, so i was thinking of trying something else. (any suggestions?)





4. Tire Shine I've tried dozens of these. Most of them last a few days and attract dirt like crazy and then turn brown. I have Meguiars stuff thats purple, and its aight, but still attracts dirt. I also tried Eagle tire wet or something like that, and it has the silver tint. Looks awsome, but only lasts a few days, then attracts dirt, turns brown, and gunks up the rubber and is a PITA to get off. I only use it for shows cuz it looks awsome, but doesn't last. I also just got eagle tire wet wipes, and they last about a week, (or two if there isn't any rain,) and they don't attract dirt, or turn brown. Its just hard to get it in the letters with the wipes.



Well, i'll be looking for any suggestions for all of these, because i bought a bunch of supplies at once, and they are all running out at the same time, so need to go shopping at pepboys soon. LoL

Wax: Klasse AIO/SG the best, The Wax Shops Super Glaze for a extremely quick application and easiest to buff off..not durable though

Vinyl/Plastic: Gunks Glass Cleaner (Don't like shiney, sticky, icky plastic) or wet rag

Leather: Lexol Conditioner/Armorall Leather Cleaner

Tire Shine: Armor All Tire Shine (Wipe off excess after an hour or have it slung down the side of your car)

Chrome: The absolute best for general polishing....Eagle One Never Dull...can't beat it

A friend gave me some of the Zainobros wax. Tried the #1 followed by #2, and then the #5. I could not believe how great this stuff works. I will definetely be ordering some today. Very easy to apply and remove and has an unbelievable shine. The #5 is for swirl marks which I really don't have, since mine is only 1 week old. Next time I will try 2 coats of the #2. I have heard that they spray is really good as well. My friend gave me this stuff and he uses it on his 2-vipers, 1-prowler, ford f-350 dually, lexus IS300 which are all black.

As far as the tires, I use armorall tire foam, but wipe immediately after applying. I don't like mine to look like they were just painted glossy black. Wiping immediately gives mine the look that I like.

Give the Zaino a try, you won't believe the difference.

 

Meguire's gold class leather cleaner/conditioner SUCKS!

It is so thick that it is hard to apply. The product seems to work well, but damn, what a workout to spread it!

It probably took me 3 times the amount of time it would have taken had it been easily spreadable.

Eagle one never dull on the rims, nerf bars, and exhaust tips works AWESOME. It is obviously a cleaner with a wax as it hazes up after you wipe it on. That little can goes quick, especially considering the price tag...

I ordered Zaino - will have results in about 1 week.

Paint: put on a base coat of Meguires Cleaner/Wax, and touch it up with HarleyGlaze. Then, found a mad scientist in the area that brews stuff up in his garage and sells it mostly to car detailers and dealers. He has stuff called finishing spray, that is like the HarleyGlaze, costs $25.00 per gallon, which is cheaper than the harley stuff. He is a chemist/scientist, so I had to listen to a lecture about free radical covalent bonding and static cling. Truck looks nice, tho.

Vinyl: Just tried Pennzoil's new treatment. Smells nice, goes on easy, doesn't attract dust like ArmorAll

Wheels: Soap and water, then the Meguires.

Tires: ArmorAll...spray on, let it sit an hour.

Leather: Saddle soap, then Scotchgard Leather Protector. Prevents that 'submarine' effect you get when you lock up the brakes.

New Car Smell: skimpily clad air freshner hanging behind the seats, but I found some soap that smells like leather on eBay. Gonna try some shavings in the back seat. Gotta love that Frederick's of Hollywood smell!!!
