I'm not sure how many of you collect the HD models. But i had an interesting find this morning. I found this model at diecastmuscle.com. HD rims and nurfbars of a 01 HD with a different paintjob, interior, and no HD in the bedmat. Just thought it was pretty weird. I'm ordering one just cuz its got the HD rims and i collect everything HDf150 (even though its kinda fugly), so i just though some of you might find it interesting.










Also, if anybody has noticed, ford catalog lists a black 02 HD and a gray 02 HD in 1/18th scale models. Well i tried to call and they said they stopped making the black ones because of no demand. Well, I'm sure that there are plenty of people on this site that would like one and we could probalby come up with enough people to special order a batch if we needed to. I have the whole set of HD models so far, and i really want the black. I would even buy like 10 of them and sell em on ebay or something if i had to. Anyway, if anybody was interested in a black 02 HD, we need your help to try and convince them to make another batch. Their website is www.rcertl.com. They have also just released the "BODY SHOP 1:18 SCALE DIE CAST ACTIVITY KITS" for the entire HD series. They are the ones that come painted but unassembled. I found my 00 and 01 at Ames or Walmart. anyway, made another cool find this morning in my hunts. over at www.nikkoamerica.com, under the truck sections they have this 1/6 th!!!scale HD!!! Its almost 2 1/2 feet long and a foot and a half tall!!! I have the 00 and 01 r/c trucks, and i wanna get this one now. Can't find a price though. I paid 60 from ford for my 1/18th R/C 00, and 40 from ames for my bigger 1/14th R/C 01. . Not sure if its a 02 HD or not cuz its black. Cant tell if those stripes turn into flames. I'll call 2morrow cuz they are closed today. If anybody can find a price, let me know.

I collect the cars also.

I already have the 2001 HD inside a display case.

Wal-Mart is selling them for around $20. You can get the plastic display case for $5 also.

I use Ashville Diecast for most of my stuff. There cars usually are around $20. I just got my latest collectible:

MAI-35899 Audi R8, Rinaldo Capello and Allan McNish, Crocodile design. Only 3000 of them available. Took me 4 months to get it.

• 1/24th scale 00 HD with trailer and cycle
• 2- 1/18th scale 00 HD
• 1/18th scale 01 HD
• 1/18th scale 02 D.S.G. HD
• 1/18th scale 01 Pheasants Forever HD
• 1/18th scale 00 HD R/C truck
• 1/14th scale 01 HD R/C truck

And i'm ordering that 1/6th scale HD r/c truck when they come in, in August. They don't have a price yet.

And i called Ertl today, and got no where, just a friggin automated thing.

Hopefully Shadow9 from the "other site" can get somewhere, cuz he knows ***** G, and will try to find some black 02 HD models. I don't think i'll get anywhere. I'll try customer service email, and then i'm outta ideas.

They also have the body shop 1/18th scale 02 gray HD that you build yourself, so if worse comes to worse, i may just paint it black.

 

well i got my pheasants forever HD knockoff model today. The thing is a POS. Came in a battered cardboard box, with only a little piece of bubble wrap on the top of it. The side view mirror was broken off, the screws holding it down were only half way in so it was loose in the box, the tie down straps were loose also, and they got glue on the hood. I'd return it now, but i want it for the next show, so i'll do it after that. The truck itself is aight, just the way they ship them is crappy. I glued the mirror back on. The whole truck is what the 01 HD model was, but just repainted and stickered. Wrong color interior is the same as the 01 HD model, wrong 4.6L sticker on the engine is the same, wrong lower grille is the same, wrong color foglights, wrong color and upside-down spare is the same...etc.....(and i noticed that all in 2 mintues...LoL, i think i need to go outside or something LoL) It was also listed under 4x4's on the ertl site. They do a crappy job on details. I mean how hard is it to put the right sticker on the engine, or put the right friggin interior color in. I probably won't be ordering from diecast muscle .com again due to their crappy packaging. LoL. Anyway, its a outdoor sportsman edition truck. I guess that's a show or something??? I'm not an "outdoor sportsman" and don't hunt or fish, or watch TNN fishing shows, so i don't know. LoL
