Exclamation Attn: Showya (or anybody else that can help me)

Hey Showya, is there anyway that you could get me a set of center caps from a 02 HD? I really like the rivit design on them. Any idea of a price on those from ford? If not, do you have the part number?

Also, anybody know of sites like fordpartsonline.com where i can search for them? Thanks alot. -#356

From: Tampa, FL, or Memphis TN... depends.
I havn't checked mine out on my 2002-- but am I to assume that they are not functional. To me it looked like allen-head bolts holding it on, but have not had a chance to look.

The rivets are not functional. They are for show. The center caps have a small slot that are used to pop them off with the tire tool. The end of the tire tool has a rubber boot on the end so you won't scratch the wheel.

yeah i knew they weren't functional, and mine have the same slots. I've removed them a few times to rotate. Actually our caps are just about exactly the same except the 02's have like 7 of the fake rivets. the part number is 2L34 1A096 BC. I didn't know if anybody knew of a site where i could get them.

Wait a minute, you post this before or after you emailed me last night? J/K............. I sent you the part number from the production floor. Just a heads up to anyone in Louisville, KY that 2002 HD F 150 #10,000 is coming to a town near you very soon.

I would bet the reason you cannot locate this part number online is simply because as with every other HD part that has Harley Davidson on it, stamped in it, or a logo like the center hubcaps, you will need to call a parts counter and give them your VIN #.

Have a good weekend and there is going to be a little more than 10,000 units in the end folks!

Showya, i posted this thread before i emailed you. Then remembered i had your email address. LoL

Anyway, i emailed that website and asked them about it. If i don't get a response, i'll ask my friend that works at the dealership to get em for me, cuz he has a 02 so it shouldn't be a problem with vin's. Hopefully i can get em at dealer cost. Anybody know what dealer cost is?

thanks
