I have recently joined here, and I am in the process of working my dealer to get to the lowest price for an '02 HD, its a fully loaded with moonroof stickered @ $38405 and out of the shoot he offered it to me for $36100, my goal was between $34 and 35k but I have been reading comments on certain X Plan, A Plan, etc. What is this?

 

The plans are for Ford employees or through partnerships with other businesses. For example, I was eligilble for X-plan pricing which is equivalent to A-plan for a Ford Employee (below invoice price) + 4% since the company I work for has a partnership with Ford.

 

BTW, in the past I have had good luck purchasing vehicles by going directly to the Fleet Sales Manager of the dealership to avoid the headaches of working with the regular sales associates.

You can also check with AAA and Costco. They both have car buying programs that can help you get a better price.

Thanks for the info, I figured that's whay they were. I am not affiliated with Ford, so I guess I will have to just do some leaning on the sales manager to cut me a deal. Right now I am at $36100 and my original goal was between $34 and $35 so I should have no problem getting there.
