On the fence about buying an '02 HD

You guys have one sweet ride! I REALLY want to pull the trigger and officially move to this forum but the only thing holding me back is the thought of driving this thing in Northeast Ohio winters. Any HD owners in artic regions out there? Is this your daily driver? What might I expect in terms of handling when it's 10 degrees and 3 feet of snow? Any input is appreciated.

In three feet of snow, ain't nobody going anywhere.

I understand your question. While I don't have a HD, I do have it's little brother (02 L). If you must have mobility in deep snow a 2WD truck isn't the best decision. Given the amount of lake effect snow you probably see I'd say it depends on how much rural driving you do. In the cities you'd probably be fine with the stock tires and weight in the bed. In the county I'd get a set of dedicated snow tires (eg Blizzak, 4x4 Alpin, Wintermasters, etc). Heck, I'd get snow tires even if I had 4WD! They make a big difference.
