New Skinny on Mods

I talked with JLP at length today. Here is the skinny on different mods from one of their customers. I'll do my best to remember cause I left my note at the office.

1/4 mile times

Stock '02 HD (14.7secs)

w/Dual ram air (14.4secs)

w/diablo chip, #4 lb L pulley, denso plugs (13.5secs)

w/ 6 lb L pulley instead of 4 lb L (13.2secs)

Temperature was in the 70s.

There is a secret 8 lb L pulley available that I'm interested in that's not listed on their website. From my discussion, I learned that with the HD's larger upper pulley an 8 lb L pulley gives a gain of approximately 5.5 lbs of boost. a 6 lb yields 4.25-4.5 lbs, a 4 lb yeilds 2.5-2.75 lbs

Also, JLP has the software needed to write chips for our PCM. We have a different computer than the L.

So there you have it truck fans. Happy modding.

P.S. I'm shooting for a discount from JLP.

I was just repeating what I was told from Sal at PSP. It does make more sense that only the internal software would be different but Sal said you needed different software to WRITE to the HD's computer.

YESSSSS. that's exactly what i'm looking for. LoL

One of these days after a decent rainstorm i'm gonna drive up to the highschool up the road and play around in the parking lot adn i wanna video tape it. Too bad were in a really bad drought. I like it cuz no waterspots on my truck and i can just dust it with my CA duster everyday, but with my luck i'll either get fined cuz i'm not supposed to wash my truck (but you can water your lawn twice a week, go figure, i think they should let you do one or the other) or it will happen to rain just enough to make the truck look nasty the day after i wash the truck. Happened to me on monday when i washed the truck on saturday. O well.

Well, donuts & burnouts, Hmmmmm.

Johnny Lightning is a happy camper today. Just placed an order for more mods than the 13.2 ran. Sue at JLP says "You're going all out aren't you?" Well, Why not?

356,

I am using the money from parting out the vette before I traded it in. It was part of the deal with my wife that I was going to enhance the HD.

Tell us all the mods you have decided upon. This is so exciting. I can't wait to seem your times. You are going to have one bad **** truck. Don't forget power isn't everything...don't forget traction bars and spark plugs. Good Luck and show us those times when you get them.
