I could maybe see 200, but for 400 i could probably get a set of 02 HD headlights, and clear tails and maybe a led 3rd brake light. Wowza thats alot for headlights. Let us know if you get em Harley2001NJ, it would look cool

Lets not be to hasty.

For a buck you get a phone call. Not bad, but it comes back to haught you. For 400 you can either get some new nice headlights that might make a nice truck look nicer (not by much though, barely noticeable to the untrained eye) or you can buy a pair of some foglights from ford that you know will probably get busted again. UMMMM, ill take? The Vasaline and some pain killers for 10 dollars. Cause you screwed any which way. Fuc king foglights got my all bent out of shape.

I've wanted to change my headlights from 01 to 02. Checked with Ford dealer, they want $226 for each headlight and $133 for the turn sig. FYI: They wanted a number off the invoice to order the headlights. Ford does not want HD look-a-likes on the road. I'll be waiting for a better price before making the modification. I also want that 02 front center console.

These are on ebay all the time. (The APC Projectors). I've bid on several sets yet haven't won a single one. Here's what I know...

From what I'm told, you have to do some modification to the front end to mount these lights. The little H3 bulb (the extra foglamp) requires some additional wiring and such (which again, from what I understand, is included in the kit). I SERIOUSLY considered going ahead and getting these but, the hassle of installation coupled with the need for an additional switch inside the cab to operate the H3 bulbs helped to rule them out.

I've also heard that the plastic doesn't hold up as well in extreme sunlight to the point that a couple of people sent them back to APC for refund because they were 'turning yellow'.

Like I was saying, ebay typically has a couple of sets. I've seen them go for as little a $240 and as much as $380. They seem to go for a consistant $350. Just do a search for F150 Projector on ebay and a few sets will pop up...

Here's my opinion. Too pricey. I'm a little nervous about modifying how you mount the stock lamps. The current draw was a consideration as well. Also, the fact that some have had problems with the plastic turning colors... Needless to say, I ruled them out and love my SVT Heads and Corners on my King Ranch.

Also, HD folks... you all have VERY unique lights as it is. Those are unique to the HD Edition (as all of you know). Stick with the stock look. They look awesome. I almost bought those for my truck versus the SVT lamps but, I found these at a darn good deal... Just my opinion. Feel free to throw rotten fruit at me... ahhahaha

What do you all think?

I'am selling my 02 HD headlights on ebay right now. I just ordered the Sylvania Xenarc system which should be in Monday. Here's the link if anyone is interested:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1833331985

I'll close the auction for $350 + $15 shipping on ebay, but if one of you guys wants to buy them I'll knock $50 off! I just got the truck last week so there's no marks, scratches, swirl marks, etc. I'am also throwing in a pair of Sylvania SilverStar bulbs which ran me an additional $50. Just need the cash to help pay for the HID system as they are quite high even though they knocked the price down $100. If you wanna deal just drop me an email and mention the price I quoted on this site so I know you're from F150online.

no one has seen the huge thread on this? there was like a 10 page one in the appearance section. i don't think they look very good, and i believe they are of poor quality, and light output is less than stock.

I assume you're not talking about the Lightning or HD headlights...the euro lights eh? I've bought a pair of the cheap clear headlights off of ebay before. I thought they were built quite well. I eventually put the lightning headlights on my previous truck and the build quality wasn't any different, and the beam pattern was of equal quality. Now...the crappy stuff that I've used were the "clear corners". I bought them off ebay and boy did they suck. The plastic lens wasn't as clear as the headlights. There was a wavy look to them and were slightly foggy looking compared to the generic clear headlights or lightning ones. Another thing is that when I installed the bulb, it didn't seal worth a crap either. Basically seemed like the light didn't fit well...didn't seal. Had moisture built up on it everytime I did a thourough power wash. As far as the "projection" headlights they look cool, but I heard the beam pattern wasn't the greatest. Stick with the HD or Lightning headlights...or if you have the cash the Xenarc HID system from sylvania. Just my 02
