I was just wondering, those of you who traded in your '00 or '01 for an '02.. What kind of trade-in value does the truck hold? I looked on kellysbluebook.com and it says too early to list. What sort of trade in $$'s have dealers been giving? We all pamper our trucks so lets say Mint condition value.....

 

I got 30,000 for my 01 and paid a little over 32,000 for my 02.

 

Just this past Saturday, a dealer offered me $22000 as trade on a 02 Lightning. Didn't do it. I now have the Lightning bug out of my system for now. I'm going overseas next year. I believe the market would be better for this American icon :-)

 

Im going this weekend to find out about trading in my 2001 for 2002 HD. I figured instead of paying 200 bucks for a foglight, 379 for a major 30,000 mile tune up, and 1000 for new tires ill see what I can do at the Dealer. Went their today (to buy a Fog light) and they have had about 15 sitting on the lot for over 2 months now. Blacks and Grays. Im hopeing that because these have been sitting so long they do me a deal. When I got my 2001 I had to order it 3months in advance and the dealer sold there 10 that they were aloted in the first week. Who knows maybe on monday ill be posting a 2001 Mod sale post. I like the sound of me and a supercharger. VROOOMVROOOM.ROAR

I was offered 20K as trade in on my chery 2000 model with 22K miles......needless to say i didnt take it....

 

Yeah Harley ill get you some pics. Dont worry. You love them pics dont you. I think just about every post youve written asks someone somewhere for pics. You should just put that in your Signature. Im just Fuc kin W/ you. Ill see what I can do. I dont think they are all lined up though.

De Pre She a shin SUCKS. I want a them to pay me for trading in and buying a new HD. HAHAHAAAAAAAAA. In my Dreams. I know.

 

Db682, I was wondering when someone would bring that up. LoL . I save all the pics of HD's i find and put em on discs. I have about 290 pics of 00 hd's, 310 of 01's, and 392 of the 02's. That just shows ya how many 02's are out there already compared to the other 2 years.

as for "De Pre She a shin" (LoL ) i'm hoping that in like 10 years, the price for the HD's won't be down so much. Hopefully ford doesnt make too many of the 02's and 03's so that they flood the market. I'm glad though that i have a 00 cuz its the 1st and rarest of the series, but I still wanna have one of each HD someday.

 

While your at the dealer getting one of each year, go a head a grab me a few also. Im good for the money. HAAAAAA. But im really interested in the supercharged model. Maybe 2003 will ba even more HP.

 

HEY BADDGENE JUST PAYED £28000 HERE IN ENGLAND THATS ABOUT 40600 US THAT WAS FOR A 00 WITH 1800 MILES ON IT WAS'NT REGISTERED TILL 01 THOUGH. HARLEY356 DID YA SEE PICS @ HEMIUK SORRY QUALITY IS CRAP BUT USED DIGITAL VIDEO CAMERA AND MY SCANER IS WORSE

 

Yup, looks like the market is better over yonder. I'll prolly end up in Italy or Germany. The germans are hog wild over Harley stuff. I could opt for England, which I considered because I met a lot of folks online because I own a Triumph but, the weather is a gnat's chaff from being horrible there! Did I use that correct mate? "gnat's chaff"
