what other mods to do?

I just installed a 6# lower and changed the upper to a stock lightning . I also got a chip and a filter all from JL. That made a big diffrence !!! . So what other mods can I do ? and has anyone come close to getting in the 12's with this heavy azz truck.

At a local shop that my friends own called super street . They usually only work on mustangs.

Get a shift kit if you do many mods to the motor, and it'll 'Feel" better, too.

Here is my "done" and "on order or in the works" list so far:
  • 1) Get thee some gauges! Why this truck doesn't come with fuel pressure and boost guages is beyond me . I really like the Autometer Ultralights... silver face matches our dash real well.
  • 2) JLP (my choice) or JDM or PSP 6 lb lower (JLP is coming out with a 8 lber for our trucks real soon BTW)
  • 3) Diablo chip--I want the Delta switch chip... if the damned thing will ever actually make it to market! Would like a towing program to go with a good performance burn.
  • 4) Good cold air intake--I'm gonna try JLP's 'Dual Ram Air' setup
  • 5) Boost bypass kit--dumping all your hard-earned boost at the most inopportune time is no fun.
  • 6) Factory Tech valve body/shift kit from LFP with 4x4 pan... looks definitely to be the way to go.
  • 7) Colder plugs. NGK TR6 or Denso Iridium (not sure of #)--I'm leaning to the Denso's as they should last longer, even though they cost considerably more. Changing plugs on these trucks is a royal PITA.
  • 8) Exhaust--I'm just gonna swap in a Magnaflow DI/DO muffler and keep the stock pipes/tips... could pick up a few more ponies with a full larger diameter mandrel-bent system and headers--maybe way down the road.
  • 9) Electric fan and SVT water pump. Maybe way, way down the road...
Oops! I forgot--when you do the chip'n filter and pulley-- put in a cooler thermostat 160 degree will work well. The serious L guys are adamant on this one.
