Put the truck on the scale today and it weighed 5240lbs. Considering I had about 70lbs of gas, that would put it around 5170. I was not in the truck when they weighed it (I figured someone would ask that)

 

Out#'d: Thanks for the data. ~5200 Lbs is about what I thought. That makes sense based on the performance data compared with the Lightning. So, with weight +500 and HP -40 compared to the Lightning, the rule-of-thumb performance would indicate a -0.9 second / -9mph relative comparison. With out-of-the-box Lightnings running mid to high 13's @ 100+ at low altitude tracks, the quoted 14.6 @ 92 in Truck Trend seems to correlate fairly well. Looks like HD's need ~+75-100 more HP to get 'Lightning' performance. Later.

 

Was this with the bed ext., and the bed mat ?

And do you have the sunroof ?

Hey thanx for the weight stats there Out#ed. There's been a lot of debates on and off the f150 forum about that. I felt the weight difference first hand when I took the new HD for a rip. Even with the power difference, I knew it had to be around 500-700lbs or more heavier than the Lightning. Thx for checking it out for us.
