HD Wheels

In another thread Harley #356 was recently talking about things on the HD trucks that were left out of the production model as opposed to the concept model. I have noticed some pictures of the 2000 models with a bit different wheel style for the HD trucks. I am assuming that this was the original concept wheel for the truck before they settled on what we actually have now. One picture that you all can take a look at that does have these wheels is on the home page of this website. The wheels on that 2000 model HD truck in the photo look to have some more curves to the spokes, not just straight spokes. There are some other pictures out there, but I wasn't sure if anyone else had noticed this. Does anyone have any information about this? Just curious.

andreir, i'm assuming you are talking about the pic with the hd motorcycle on the left and the HD on the right, and a yellowish backround? Yes the rims are different on that and the spokes are thinner. i think the grille is different too. I like the rims out now better, and the grille of the 00 better also. The rims on the 02 HD just have a different plastic center cap, but the rest is the same about the rim. You may have seen a pic from a 00 international auto show of a 00 HD that was owned my momo designs. They ruined the look IMO because they put a set of their MOMO rims on to promote their product. Other than those 2 pics, i don't know of any other rims designs, and if there are other pics, they are aftermarket rims, and all the production HD's have the same rims. hope that helped
