First blood!!!

Ran out to the edge of town to check on getting my lawn tractor worked on and was headed back to work when I stopped at a lonely intersection with a red light. Up pulls a dark blue '89 Mustang LX 5.0 5 sp convertible, nice looking car with chrome 17" Cobra R rims that sounds mean (found out later it had a Flowmaster catback, o/r H-pipe, K&N, otherwise stock). The driver is a scruffy looking dude with earings and tattos with Oakley's on... he looks over and grins and revs at me. I nod approvingly. Light turns green and we are off! He quickly pulled out about a half-car lead (damn those 3.27 1st gear stangs!... except when I'm driving mine ). When he shifted into 2nd I made it up... truck is really starting to spool up now . I then proceeded to pull slowly out in front. Each time he shifted I would pull another few feet. When we shut down at about 110 I was about a full truck length ahead... damn that was fun!

Hey Sling, My wife just read our posts over my shoulder and made the comment that "we were not right". I told her it was a guy thing and that she wouldn't understand.

As much as I hate to say it, he's probably got you; those Z's are quick. But I would make him earn it!

Frank,

The difference between the functional and non-functional is a $109 kit. The kit is designed to tap into the stock cylinder style airbox. If you have a supercharger, I'll bet you have pulled the stock box off. If this is true, it will require you to be somewhat creative in making the ram air work.

outnumbered, the more i look at your hood, the more i like it On your other truck, i wasn't crazy about it very much, but on this one, i don't know if its the angle of the pic or the color of the truck, but i like it more and more every time i look at it. I'm probably still gonna get a cervini's hood, but your's has got to be my favorite ram air hood right behind the cervinis. i mean right behind, tough choice for me to make. I'd have to see it in black 1st though. Take any new pics lately?
