What Does the 02 exhaust sound like?

Compared to Joe Blow With a flowmaster on a V8?

Just curious.

Listen to a Lightning, that's what it will sound like pretty much. And a log of them put Magnaflows on. Magnaflow is the only way to go.

Do they really sound like an L? The L has a different (sport) exhaust and it sounds like a wuss. I would assume the 02 has the same as 00, 01 and would count towards the HP reduction. Personally I like the stock exhaust. No drone down the highway and good rumble at idle to peak RPM's (truck has 12,000 miles).

Well here's why I ask, The 02 has the blower so it should sound like the L but Ford says it has a "Tuned" exhaust that specific to the 02

I have a couple of Ford's tuned exhausts: the '00 sounds nice on idle and sounds great accelerating and is pleasant enough at speed to have a bit of rumble (contrary to an older dealer who didn't think the sound was Harley enough) I don't need any droning at speed so I'm happy with the sound. My Svt Contour exhaust has a nice burble at idle and up to when the secondaries kick in at about 3500 and then it sounds more whinie, or singie if you prefer. Both exhausts are supposed to increase horsepower to the wheels and they do but 'tuned' in my mind is more of an aural satisfaction than a quantum leap of seat of the pants push. Tuning after all involves the ears. Why should we expect tuned exhaust to provide increased power as well?
