I ready for some new exhaust on my '01 HD Screw. Those right side exits just don't suit my fancy. Not symetrical either. Has anybody tried (or seen) anything lately that they would recommend? Any pics.

I'm thinking of leaving the HD stock muffler alone and running some 4" inch exit pipes (about 3 feet apart) just over the axle and dump at about 45 degrees straight down. Just barely visable.

Any thoughts?

One question for ya. Why? Don't you like the exhaust tips? and if they aren't symmetrical enough for ya, why not go the little extra to put another set of tips on the other side of the truck? Or even if you must, i think that straight pipes out the back would look bettter than just dumping it off at the axle. just a couple suggestions for ya

 

Doesn't sound like a very bright idea to me. I am thinking of changing my exhaust too...but there is no way i am moving those exhaust tips anywhere else. I love the side exit...it looks sweet...and you will have an awkward whole in the side of your truck. I dont know why you are even pondering this...but good luck!
