Aftermarket Steering Wheels

I've been looking to "upgrade" the factory steering in 2001 Screw to match my wood dash. I found one here but was a little hesistant on paying $250 to replace a steering wheel on a leased vehicle. Besides, it doesn't match my wood dash .

I just found this site that sells overlays for your oem steering wheel in rosewood, burlwood and carbon fiber. They normally sell for $75 but if 3 or more of us get together on a purchase, they're only $35 a piece + s/h/i. If anyone is interested email me at mdiddy@prodigy.net and we can set up a buy.

If you replace the steering wheel all together, wouldn't that affect the driver's air bag?

Seeing as how the airbag is in the steering wheel..Id say yes

The only thing I would want to swap wheels for would be one with radio buttons on the center.

Yes..im highly lazy

I would like to get one of those Steering wheel covers for my kit. The one I have now looks so not right.

With the mods you have added to the leased truck, looks like money really isn't the issue for you. Why don't you just buy a Ford OEM wood/leather wheel? Here's a sample:

Money is still kinda an issue in that if I spend $40 on a steering wheel overlay, that frees up $200 for other mods! Besides, I do like the woodgrain look a bit more than just the wood/leather steering wheel. At 40 bucks I can't go wrong and who knows, I might change my mind and pop for the wood steering wheel later
