That is awful. You have major problems with that thing. I have only had minor little problems, Like having the seal around my windshield fixed. Nothin like that. I checked for waves in my budy and found none. It's to bad your going to sell. Oh well. Enjoy the Dodge.

I feel for you with the other problems, but if the body is so wavy then why did you buy it? Black shows all that really easy. If you ordered it all you had to do was refuse delivery. If you had a deposit they must refund it at that time.

POS Ford

Hate to hear you're having so many problems with your truck. I've had mine for 3 years and have never had a problem whatsoever. However, if you think you're going to fix all your reliability issues by buying a Dodge, you may be in for a suprise!

its got 14k miles on it.....ive only had it since february....Its going back to the ford dealership satruday AGAIN!...I didnt refuse it at the dealer since i only paid 25K for it BRAND NEW....hehe..we have a friend was the sales Manager for Texan Ford in Katy, TX....great guy..ive talked to him and he said bitch at ford until its the way you want it......he told me that ford body/paint in general sucks and its really hard to find a straight one.....The wavyness wasnt that bad until I color sanded it and smoothed out the orange peel.....if you know anything about body work this is what is supposed to be done after a paint job.....Ford/GMC dont do it..only Dodge....I have an 84 Ford F150 Deisel 4X4 w/ 520,000 miles on it and it is STILL runing strong...all I have had to do is replace a few head gaskets..I love that truck..and I really like my chevy too...heres some pics..

STX/98, i agree with ya 110% about what you said about the dodges . and
Tampa-Harley, wish i had the money to have two harleys, must be nice to have one all garaged up to say nice and neat, and the other as a daily driver.
and to shanker, you can get a lemon with all of em. (just morelikely to get one with dodges ) My HD has 12000 miles and the paint is beautiful, and never had any problems with the truck at all, just had the tonneau get stuck shut (but thats leer not ford) and the front flap fall off. which they are replacing for me.

paint

the paint was nice...im just not a big fan of Factory orange peel, thats why i color sanded it....its the body panels that are fubar........when they were pressed ford just didnt have quality in mind...about the dodges..go down to the Dodge dealership....look at a dodge vehicle and i bet you that 80% of the vehicles DONT have ANY orange peel and that the sheetmetal is super straight... and dont race a dodge either...My Girls dad and I raced at the track...he has a 2000 Fullsize sport model w/ all of the options and NO addons (ex K&N) and I got whooped....i was kinda depressed ....especialy when I watched the video and heard the rednecks in the crowd say "Makes me wanna go buy one!" sarcastically...those dumb bastards only care about saving enough money for a 6-pak of Pearl light though....

My sisters' brand new Durango is red and it has VERY bad orange peel. No way that thing was wet sanded. Paint is iffy on any vehicle. My other sister has a 2000 Accord that has orange peel so it's hit or miss in that department. Good luck getting it fixed. Make them repaint it if you have to.

You lost to a dodge. HUH???? I raced about 3 different dodges and was able to pull on all of them no problem. By a lot too. I even think the 5.9 R/T are slow.

Yea, I'm kind of suprised you got whooped by the Dodge too. A good friend of mine's dad has one I've driven many times, and that thing feels like a tank compared to mine! It just handles and rides like a dump truck. IMHO, the best thing about Dodges are their cupholders! Those things will hold anything!

Thumbs up Quality?

My HD truck is pretty close to being perfect. And, I'm pretty close to being a perfectionist. Am sorry that you got a bad one, but that can happen with any brand of automobile.

My neighbors just got a new Camry (Toyoto/Lexus) and the paint is not as good as on the Harley truck.

It can happen with any brand.

Take it back and get it fixed or sell it and get a car you are pleased with. Don't just keep it and be unhappy.

truck flaws

Well I got all of the problems fixed except for the body panels.....At 8 am at the Ford Dealership i was talking about why i was going to buy a Dodge as a next vehicle and he said "Show me what your talking about" I showed him my wavy doors and he was like "This truck is alot wavier than most" i was like "I KNOW" then I asked him what I can do about it and he said that he would call ford and see about getting new Doors for me....I had to have a friend at a body shop adjust the doors so I wouldnt have to slam them anymore and He also adjusted the rear quarter panel to where it lines up wit the cab...well its only about a 1/8 off bit it is as close as it is ever going to be.....

Thats good that they got most problems fixed. Thats one thing I have noticed. With these truck so far I have no problem with the dealer jacking me around. They fix all problems right away with out any hold up. (except the belt tensioner squeking.)
